Try wearing sun sleeves. They catch the sweat as it develops and runs down your arms and doesn't get onto your hands. Midwest US has been brutal this summer with humidity so I use them all the time as well as during Florida play. Work great, can be purchased cheaply on Amazon.

There are a lot of us in your same age bracket on WRX and all of us are trying to find the perfect combination of shaft and head to try and keep as much distance as we can without losing in dispersion. All of us are also quite different in our swing characteristics. For some of us, the weight differences are not as pronounced and we can move between weights relatively easily. I went from 105 gram steel to 70 gram graphite and didn't have an issue. Others move only 20 grams and lose their entire feel of where the club is in your swing. Honestly the only way you are going to know is to try them. Focus on the weight of shaft not so much what flex is on the label.

I put a 440 Denali red demo in my 430 max 10K head and didn't have any issues.

I have 0% experience with them, but just as another savvy customer - I would call them and ask why this is their preferred method of payment? If you are uncomfortable now, how do you think you would feel if something were to go wrong upon receipt? You are the customer and I would recommend paying for them in the manner in which you prefer. Maybe this is their standard MO and others will chime in, but if this makes you uncomfortable, don't do it.

The MMT is close in profile to the TGI but as you have found, they might not have the launch that you need. The DART will help with launch a little bit, but honestly loft of the iron head has much more impact on height and descent angle than the shaft. The shaft is really a timing device for you to center it up consistently. If you have a good shop around you, then can alter the SW a bit with new shafts or you can always try a little bit of lead tape to help with the SW also. Lastly, you might want to look into the KBS PGI vs. the TGI. The PGI in my opinion and testing is closer to the DART and the MMT is closer to the TGI. Hope this helps.

As you found out the CTL and the Modus have very different feels. The 790 is a really solid iron and has been for quite some time. I'm just not a TM fan. Regarding the Gen7, check out askgolfnut on youtube. he has some really good videos on PXG. I just can't remember his "heat map" for low strikes on them. I think he also does a good comparison video on the 790 to other irons in this category and he might have even done one with PXG vs. TM. This is a good video.

Tried them all and have owned previous generations of all except for the TM. What questions do you have? They are all in the same category and perform similarly for most of us. That being said, they offer different shaft combo's at no upcharge, so you really need to try all of them yourself to see what fits best for your swing. PXG will give you the widest range of shaft options and they are great sticks. I ended up with the GEN6 vs. the 7 just to save a few bucks late last fall. I ended up with these vs. the 530's just for the shafts. Could have easily ended up with the Cobra's also - I keep a set of the 2021 version as a backup set and really like them.

Check out Hawthorn Woods. I was a member about 10 years ago, and it was always in good condition and they did have some really good players always looking for a game.

I also agree with the previous posts. This is an extremely sophisticated build, and while you are a good player at an 8, some of these are such nuance builds that I think only a tour player could relate to. That being said, the lie angle does have me a bit confused, BUT you really need to know your starting point in your old irons compared to the new. Some OEM's have different specs than others, so going up or down is really a matter of perspective and what is the starting point? If the fitter was such a stickler on the lie angle, did he bend his fitting heads to match what he was giving you? What was the result? Did you hit these better or have a better dispersion than your current set? What shafts are you playing now that you were fit into 2 years ago? Would the shaft change make you deliver the club in a different way to account for the lie change? If these are your dream clubs, and you have this much angst with the fitting, I would recommend going to talk with them again and let them know your concerns. If they can explain the specs in a way that make you feel more comfortable then proceed. If they tell you they are "just a better fit" and not explain it, then I would move on to another fitter if possible.
