  1. They think their courses have bigger fairways than the pros? Definitely not the case at my home course where you're lucky to get 20yd wide fairways at the widest! Good thing it's short and open and can borrow the next fairway..or 2, over
  2. I'm kinda surprised NBA rules are that short ...the high school basketball rules is 88 pages though the last 8 or show pages is ads. Not that anyone actually considers NBA actual basketball. It's basketball's version of a scramble
  3. Unlimited golf just means the number of times you can play without paying greens is unlimited. It does not mean unlimited access. You're not always going to be able to get on. They have events and leagues. Even on fully private courses. Even if there's not an event, the tee sheet might be so full there's not openings.
  4. I would lean more towards the outdoors because there's just something about being indoors messes with your head thus your swing.
  5. You would have to count that movement as a stroke. Then you would also have to determine the stroke was made legally. If the stroke wasnt legal, you could incur the general penalty.
  6. They're all covered by the same rule pre 2019 they may have been treated differently.
  7. You can't run stroke and match play together really because match play once you can't beat your opponent, you don't play anymore, on the hole or the rest of the holes. You could do what our league does is play stroke play and you win a point for each hole you beat your opponent and a half point for a halve. If the stroke play is against the field, you can't give putts. Everyone must finish the hole unless you want to do a score cap per hole.
  8. another thing on the tv thing...every shot looks like a shank on TV till protracer pops up.
  9. you would rub the green to help figure out grain direction.
  10. it does cause possible relief issues however if the part of the ball is touching the course in bounds
  11. just to clear, is that the course rule that the road is OB or that your stakes are placed such that its not possible at a turn in the road be slightly outside(on the course side) the stakes
  12. You know you dont actually have to throw the ball right? Its just a drill.
  13. line painted on the path makes for some interesting possibilities if the line isnt painted perfectly along the edge of the path or the path isnt perfectly squared off.
  14. To put in a bit more perspective, that's a 2.5 degree window. Really aren't many big curvers of the ball with driver or most any clubs unless they have to or they really came out of one
  15. If on a shot you hit the ground first and still catch the ball thin, you're using the bounce. Or you're hitting off concrete.
  16. Why can't you avoid doubles? Unless you got stupid greens where you can't hold them on approach shots, you have to have penalty shots or hit one or two bad shots to make double
  17. There's a good reason better putters hit a lot of 3 ft putts on the practice green. When you learn to be more aggressive with birdie putts that are fairly straight and won't run away from you, you won't be afraid of the come backer.
  18. I would say that because it's such an easy club to manipulate to hit well without messing up the rest of your game.
