Son has moved up to the tour USKG set of irons and wedges still sub $100 with bag, irons, wedges, hybrid and fairway wood and found him a ping prodi g drive used on Ebay for under $100. He is loving the whole set now but is a small 12 year old just starting to grow. Dicks had lots of the ping kids clubs to try and thats how we figured out the correct length to find much cheaper than new.

No, the custom shop will not pay attention to weight. You will lose anywhere from 3-10 grams depending on condition of the putter. If it is a gamer and not a Tour or something super special, look at other options for refinish as they offer more options and 1/3 or less of the price. Someone like BOS is always popular as they did some of the original Cameron finishes and is usually just over $100 for a refinish.

For sale is a Newport 1.5 Studio Select Tour putter with topline. 35 inches. Putter is a gamer but has no big uglies or dings. Comes with new Superstroke tour 2.0 grip. No tour cover but will be shipped with non cameron cover for protection. Original shaft but circle t shaft band is frayed as it is a gamer. No COA. I just went on a built a set with DG Shafts instead of the lighter ones (Extra $40 per club) and NDMC Grips (Extra $12 per club) and it comes to $1,372 pre tax. That is strong for a house brand made in China. I just don't see people paying that when name brand OEM's offer their own engineering and testing, while admitting, most are likely made in the same factories. Unfortunately, the name no longer carries the weight it once did like Hogan, Ram and others of the time.

You never know honestly. A large number of people were pulled out of line this year and denied and tickets revoked. No one is really sure how it will change year to year, but they are for sure starting to crack down. I'd say you are safer giving them to family other than selling online, but it is for sure a risk. I've talked to a few people and know it has been tossed around requiring the winner of the tickets to be with the group. There is no telling when it will be enforced, but you will honestly never know until you get to the gate. I went 2 years ago on my own tickets and will say the crowd has increased at least 4x over practice round days over the last 10-15 years. Demand was strong then, but they have to be releasing tons of more tickets or they wouldn't be paying MILLIONS for land to add more parking lots. You don't add more parking unless you are letting in more people.

It really seems like they are trying to make the New like the old course used to be by creating the demand and removing the multi day play options. The Old Course has just become a premium experience for those willing to pay the tour operators salaries for the year so they are trying to artificially create demand on the New.
