  1. Nice skip to next hole after entering score is already built in now. Now entering putts is weird as you can only do so after telling BB the number of putts. So it skips and entering the putts will skip back (just for entering putts, active hole remains the next one). Maybe showing the green after entering putts would be nice and then skipping. There is no way around entering putts at once after the holes. I forget them quickly. At home? No chance. So I would not mind forcing me.
  2. As iacas said app alarms at 1°, mail says use wrists. Just confusing. Not saying wrist movement is wrong although I personally need the wrist to anvilled down to keep face below a degree at impact but I read pros do use the wrists a bit. Mail "Wrist Movement: A Key to Better Putting" Many golfers try to decrease or eliminate wrist motion in the putting stroke, but this is not necessarily the best method; the wrists will move. Learning the best ways to move both the lead and trail wrist is a more effective approach. and links to this https://hackmotion.com/wrist-action-in-putting/?utm_source=drip&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=Customer+Success+Plus&utm_content=Master+Your+Putting+with+Better+Wrist+Stability unsure if you can change in the app have not found where to. It does a diagnostic, finds you go palmar and then goes straight to drills to fix the problem. Maybe the 1000$ version allows this like shown in the videos. Edit what I think they are missing is if you return the wrist flexion. If you flex 5° and you return 5° every time at impact then no alarm necessary, right?
  3. Bought the second stage of Hackmotion containing putting and I think its well worth it. Just got a mail about putting stating in short you should use your wrists also. Fine read that a lot I dont disagree. What is strange the hackmotion device trains zero motion wrists. It alarms even at 1° of change. Can someone explain how this fits together?
  4. Btw there is this site that shows GPS Quality per day. There is practically no GPS outage in western Europe. Now I wonder what the other golf trackers do to make sure minor GPS glitches do not result in bad locations. Do they use both GPS trackers Phone and watch at the same time and BB only uses one without comparing? I must say there are not many glitches but more than Arccos has and all use the same GPS and GPS readers. https://gpsjam.org/?lat=45.00000&lon=35.00000&z=3.0&date=2025-07-27 What would be an interesting feature is to record swing duration, peak acceleration, gyroscope rotation, and tempo ratio (backswing/downswing) from the watch sensors, enabling the detection of statistically significant motion pattern differences between similar clubs like a 6-iron and a 7-iron. After a swing other than distance BB could choose which club it was. It could even record half swings and punches, pitches and chipping with the club. @CFAnPEI You should try the watch the app on it is neat. If they do distance change per crown instead of + - then you wont need to take out the phone often as you would have a very usable birdiebook on your wrist. For now changing distance is bad so you will prefer to take out the phone. Its the best display of a birdiebook I have seen so far on the Apple watch. They also need to solve sync. No other watch takes so long to sync and start. Well Arccos did in the beginning but they solved it somehow.
  5. Nice, would you agree with my findings it could be made better in an area or two?
  6. Ahh Mr. BB is here, very nice. I got redirected to Tim with my feature requests. I have high hopes most of them will be acknowledged. I am such a good tester hahaha. Well I get quickly annoyed by software which may be helpful. BB is already really good and I hope it gets even better. Fingers crossed you guys want the software to improve and resources are available.
  7. So I am keeping posting my findings on the app. Very egoistic as I want to put some pressure on them to make some very important changes at least from my view. This app has the potential of being the best golf tracking app by far. Is it there? Almost. In the post processing there are two flaws in my opoinion that are very annoying as your brain has to do some translation work that is totally unnecessary. They have no flag, the last number is the flag (different in game on the Iphone you have a flag there) and they name the shot with a number at the end of the shot. So the 1 is the tee shot. Super weird. 1 should be 2 and the last number an F for flag. If you move 1 you move shot two. Super weird. - On the Apple watch the crown should be used to move the aim up and down, not to zoom at least optionally. The reason is you do that more than zooming and you zoom less than you may move the aim up or down. Should be an option at least. - they do have problems with GPS, they have to stabilize it. Had a GPS error at the first hole again. - in the birdie book they need a zoom back to hole if you accidentally zoom out. Happened in my pocket, annoying to find the hole from 10.000 feet. - minor thing: After entering score and putt automatically jump to next hole, I waited for this not happening. - pin position set ingame should be available to other BB users as it is in Arccos. Set it for other players please. Upload pin to servers when set. Load available pin of that day at hole.
  8. One thing I am maybe not happy about is not setting the number of penalties while you play. The bare minimum would be penalties per hole. Score/Putts/Penalties. If you are not familiar with the course, maybe first time you play it, you might forget where and how many penalties happened. Good golfers push them out of the mind anyways Would not mind a red number in the score Circle of the hole in the scorecard. Oh and crosshair aiming is not under thumb when moving it pops up. Hallucinating, thought it was.
  9. I think I described some posts above how Rileys map got actioanable for me. The stick drill from manage transtion video and then the overdone kid swing guidance by Riley. Eye opener and lightbulb clicking penny drop. That’s what what they are to me, simply the best that happened to me in 40 years of golf. I may even take a lesson for overpriced 399$ just to thank him.
  10. I dont think they focus a market but its made in Germany. The founder is a teaching pro. Dont buy or try in the appstore cheapest is by code on their website. They have 30 day trial on their website. https://www.bebrassie.com/en Also no idea why they dont keep socials up to date. I revived this thread from 2017. I am quite hyped to have found exactly what I need.
  11. I think monte will at least understand what I mean by starting with the arms. I am not a teacher. From the amateurs perspective here is what changes if you follow Rileys way. The trail elbow gets locked in place, I was never able to do actively, and the body can win the race, I can hit late and swing left. Club delofts and is 15 yards longer and lower ballflight. I am sure it is explained differently in teacher language. Basic understanding problem that often happens. I leave it to you pros discuss if Rileys method has a right to exists. From my side I chose Rileys method over Monte. Love you Monte!
  12. I have not seen this option in the prefs. Shotdetection could be a problem. For US with a lot of lefties they better add this one. Write them an email, Oliver answers within a day or so, sometimes even same day. I understand they address GPS failing on the round for a couple of minutes. I had this once on my first round but never on Arccos or Tangent more than some seconds. I hope they make it high priority as it’s a nogo, GPS in Europe is stable if there is no sunflare like in June. Also they will look into registering arms movement in front of the body as shot from time to time. Also asked them to add option of intended aim as last measurement on the Iphone. This would be great to track left/right/short/long without further input. Idea came to me as they already have intended aim in the after round eval. Moving the crosshair in the birdiebook should pop above the finger. Sounds like a minor thing but having to lift the finger all the time to check the position is annoying. Crosshair should be visible above the finger that moves it. Their strategy plan aka Birdiebook generation is quite unique. They also have a team management although I cant see how to convince the hole team to use it. Maybe very high level teams and input after round. In my opinion this is the best and cheapest tracking app available. And the listen which is amazing, I hope they pick up an idea of two I threw at them. Edit: there is a lefty setting in the prefs just checked. You will have to test if the Watch app works correctly with that setting. They have a 30 day trial on their website.
  13. There are two faults Riley is the holy grail for. Starting the downswing with the arms and the barrel people who never allowed their head to move forward and down even a tiny bit. Chicken head that never moves. If you can do the stick drill in manage transition video, then just skip Elite golf you have what 90% of the golfers dont. For most of us who are pickers with delofted high shots, no divots and you can not swing left, then there is no better place on Youtube to understand the problem. The exaggeration video is perfect to understand what needs to be done to bring clubhead to the ball without starting the arms. That is what the stick drill shows you. It shows that you need a drastically different motion if you want to stop being an arm swinger and Riley shows how.
  14. They have a feature where you can set the point you aimed for on each shot on the map. That’s pretty cool for analyzing misses — left, right, short, or long — but unfortunately, it’s only available after the round. It would be great to set that aim point while playing, right on the Birdiemaker page as some of us are measuring anyway. So I submitted a feature request for it. For example: on the tee, after measuring the distance to a bunker, you could drag the point to where you actually want to land the ball on the fairway — and BB would then save that as your intended target for later shot analysis. Let’s see if they implement it! I had an issue where GPS signal was lost. Can not remember having that with Arccos, they are looking into it I hope. Also sometimes while walking a shot was registered when arms movement was large I think they can also solve that by only tracking when stationary. I am quite hyped about BB, support is really responsive.
  15. Resurrecting this thread — after testing all available shot tracking apps, Bebrassie now seems quite promising following a long string of disappointments. Arccos appears to have priced itself out of the market; with their current pricing model, many users will likely start looking for alternatives. Meanwhile, Apple Watch sensor tracking has become so good that dedicated hardware is starting to feel obsolete. I also tested Tangent and was impressed with its shot tracking and features — but I just can’t get past the user interface. It's really poor and hard to tolerate. Here’s what matters to me in a shot tracking app — and this is also directed at Oliver, since I’ll likely bombard him with feature requests: – Is my home course available? My home course is only 10 years old, but Google Maps satellite imagery is even older. Who knows when that will ever be updated. Arccos uses Apple Maps, which shows up-to-date imagery — that's great. At the very least, there needs to be an accurate overlay, which Bebrassie provides. Tangent also includes overlays, but you're stuck with the forest-covered Google imagery in the background, which you can’t turn off. Golfshot shows distances to greens and hazards but lacks an overlay — which makes it nearly useless for doglegs. That rules out most apps for me. If I can’t use it properly on my home course, I’m not buying it. – Accurate measurements. Most apps do this well these days. Makes me wonder if they're all pulling from the same centralized data source. – Strokes Gained. No strokes gained = no purchase. For low-handicap players, this is the only meaningful way to identify and quantify weaknesses. Bebrassie has this — great. – Good user interface. It shouldn’t be cluttered. Information and key actions need to be accessible exactly when and where they’re needed. So far, Bebrassie seems to do this well — I’ll reserve final judgment for after more testing. Tangent completely fails here; its UI is a dealbreaker for me. – In-round measurement usability. This may seem minor, but it’s something I use constantly — easily 50+ times per round. I prefer shot tracking because I hate having to “Captain Cook” through a laser rangefinder, especially when flags are elevated or obscured. Laser rangefinders distract me more than pulling a phone from my pocket. I need quick hazard distance readings and to know what clubs will keep me short or carry trouble. So moving the aim point must be quick and intuitive — without my finger blocking the view. I’ll see how Bebrassie handles this in the long run. I already have a few ideas for feature requests. – Club detection AI. Tangent does a great job here. We’ll see how Bebrassie performs over time. – Auto-detection of the next hole. If I’ve just been putting, it’s 99% certain I’m walking to the next hole. Don’t ask me after every green. On the other hand, if my last shot was from the fairway and then I appear on the next tee box, it's fair to ask whether I holed out from 150, sliced one into the woods, or quit the hole. Tee boxes should be easy to detect most of the time. Pricing: The best price is directly on their website. I’m going for the 5-year plan — which ends up costing less than a single year of Arccos and half of Tangent’s annual rate. And just to be clear before anyone asks: I’m not affiliated with Bebrassie — even if I happen to live nearby. I'm just frustrated by most golf apps and washed up on Bebrassie beach. ran this through chatgpt for better English and readabilty
  16. Used Tangent on my first round. Its a great app tracking without a sensor on the club, working perfectly but damn the user interface is a mess. Clutter is the biggest issue of Tangent. Best example is I accidentally ended my round, no idea how and I could not find the resume so at the end of the round at hole 14 I had to start a new one. Did not have the time to find the resume button had to move and play. Resume is under data/round history/tap on the round/review, yes it is review/ no wait resume was there, let me look for it again. No sorry can not find it, no joke. Maybe its not there as its the next day, I dont know. There is also no way of merging rounds. You can only do so for 9 hole rounds so my first Tangent round is 1-14 and 15-18. Nice. Ads in the app although I purchased it? Not nice. You should be able to disable. Cluttered user interface plus ads feels psychadelic. Big clutter also by mixing up community and practice with round play. Should be well and completely separated. You can not disable the Google map background. If the images are old on a club that exists for less than 10 years as my course. The image you see is super cluttered as in my case the background is pure forest. You can disable layers, the background is no layer in Tangent. If it would use apple maps the images would be up to date, like in Arccos, but unfortunatedly its only good very old Google. An app far from cheap with over a hundred bucks per year should be able to use both. Advertizing and clutter, I am unsure if I can stay with Tangent although its really deep and great its, just so annoying. Super app, 80s look, submenu mess. Love and hate. Would be easy to make me love it only but the app makes some big mistakes in my opinion. edit: today tourney again on the round I edited the pin position, knob says ok and exit. I press it and Tangent exits the round. Uninstalled the app and stopped subscription.
  17. OK no, no sales pitch, dont know any of the software makers. Just described what apps I found and how I use them and asking the missing part of speed control in numbers. Slopegraide seems promising and would like to hear experiences. There are some in the Appstore comments but unsure if they are paid or not. Slopegraide is quite expensive also. There is a paper version you can buy but not metric as the App. Here is an idea for a rubber cord line I just made, two piece, untested. https://www.printables.com/model/1355729-putting-line-golf
  18. Great let me look up the link, come back tomorrow. I totally get that some people break out in itchy, pustulous rashes just from being shown a training app or tool. Maybe just avoid this thread, not worth the time posting.
  19. Search gives nothing on Slopegraide so I open a new topic. I use the amazing app Green Slope after choosing my line to calculate the exact amount of left or right of the cup to have the putting line. Greenspeed can be easily be found by two training sticks on my iphone holder here where you roll the ball from 30" 76 cm and the Iphone app Measure is set to incline and you see 20 degree. You can use the Measure app to measure the distance you allready have open. Genius Training stick idea is not mine but from Slopegraide maker. https://www.printables.com/model/504260-alignment-stick-holder-for-more-than-one-stick Anyway, I set up a line over the ball to the aim point, will post the 3d print later maybe. The problem holing the ball aside your crappy putting stroke to get it on the line is the speed. The idea to dial in speed with the roll maps is interesting. I am not a fan of full controll but I dont like to give my small brain nothing and just tell it to do something. This looks like its almost made for Slopegraide training: https://a.co/d/3nX2uDI So is someone using the roll maps how do you use it on the course in tournament mode and did your putting become better with it?
  20. Tangent looks nice will try it if I find that 30% discount mentioned in the thread. Tried shotscope connex and dont like the club registration each time. Edit AYGOLF30 is the Tangent discount from Adam Young podcast. Thank you.
