Your first sentence may be pretty accurate 😁 Just seems like a lot of travel time to get to Inverness area in my opinion. I love Scotland golf but I’d look a knocking out some of the great England courses rather than do a planes, trains and automobiles venture but you have to do what you want not what others suggest. Even if you could not get onto the top London area courses you could drive towards the Devon area or even Wales and play Royal Porthcawl or some of the others people have suggested.

From a travel perspective Prestwick would be much easier than NB. I have played NB many times and one of my favorites. Another option near Troon is Western Gailes. To me it is under rated and a really good layout. I liked it much more than Prestwick but Prestwick does have the tradition even with many changes over the years. I would take Western at least 7-8 times out of 10 over Prestwick.

Is my calendar wrong? It s Saturday right? Doesn’t that mean Mole Saturday! How do we know the day of the week otherwise 😂

I really enjoyed Western Gailes. Doesn’t get the love given it’s neighboring courses but tough track. I agree the winds can play havoc.

I don’t think they are alone in issues and many places it goes beyond just the caddie.

It is Saturday so don’t forget the mole, margaritas, chips and salsa! 😂
