  1. I wish they/others would make the DI style through a 6i up to or capable of being bent.to 29-30*. And not the goo filled hot faced irons, an actual driving iron style. I think Srixon had one that was a 6i/29* ... The FDI is so good, might try and find another that is weak by 1*, and see if I can get someone to bend 27* ... I know, "it won't sell" ... But I can dream🙃
  2. Pirate Ship or ship station via PayPal. Price is typically the same.
  3. ....good choice.....and/or the more iron like hybrids!
  4. Have you tried a DI style hybrid/iron? Might be the ticket as a transition from irons to fwy woods! I have the KE4 Tour FDI 23* and love it. I don't have a problem with hybrids perse but that spot from the last iron I hit well to the hybrid/s has always been a problem. I used same shaft that I use in my set. I wasn't expecting much but I get plenty of height and it is forgiving enough! If you can find one , you might even be able to bend it weak 2*, I believe these are CS hosel/body.
  5. How does it look at address. Hard to tell from the pics. I prefer a single bend vs multi-bend shaft for a little onset vs. offset.....curious how this differs. Seems to me that the Zero torque putters have the shaft at the center of putter but a little ways inward or towards the rear with the shaft angling slightly towards the face./?...maybe the LH recreates the shaft angle?
  6. How does the profile/face height compare to the 775hs?
  7. Agreed. It's tougher for sure....much more trouble to get into! Even after the reno it's harder IMO.
  8. Not much you can do re a super duffer in those scenarios. IMO far less penal then some places with hazards all over the place. Links is a kind driving course even for the average to decent striker. Nothing wrong with moving to the most forward tees on holes like that. Does the golfer have thick enough skin to do it and/or do the playing partners phrase it in a way that supports it!/?
  9. I would add #5 as it's reachable even for an average hitter, *if you catch the ramp in the fairway, and I love that green! #6 is my favorite hole on the course. That fwy bunker prevents bomb with impunity IMO, although you could still try and fit one between the bunker and the hay on the right, it's a relatively tight fit and being in the fwy is crucial for distance control into that green. The play is to be just short of the bunker, as from there you are level with the green, making distance control the easiest. No excuses from that point🙃. I like the cross mounding as it makes it semi blind and adds a bit of uncertainty. Move to one of the up tees. I've done it a time or two for fun and would agree, it's a better hole from closer! Glad you enjoyed it!
  10. Take a look on the GW forum. Britt has given updates over there.
  11. Likely started to crack and you didn't notice until the difference in how it sounded. That is quite the crack all around the crown!
  12. Launch is fine, feels to stiff and yes to over swinging. I can likely get used to and deal with it. It is also swing related as I have a harder time getting through the ball.....but that is getting better! Not a lot of 70+ in R or A.
  13. Hi, currently playing it.....but with a shoulder injury and rehab, I am not able to bring the speed needed to do it justice. Prior to injury, I loved everything about it. I am getting good center face strikes and still enjoy the feel but it's just too stiff. Anything approaching a similar profile/feel but in R or even A flex? This was 72g uncut....that seems to be a really good weight for me with the driver! Thank you!
  14. If the KBS Tour R works for you then stick with it or something with a similar profile. The two Maltby options you list have a Uni hosel bore and will accept taper or parallel. Be advised that the KBS Tour taper and parallel don't quite profile the same. Make sure to know which one you currently have if decision is to order that shaft for your project. There stock TT Score shaft wouldn't be too drastically different from a weight perspective and could work. I have also heard that the Nippon 1150 profiles similarly to the KBS tour. It will be a smidge heavier than the KBS Tour. It is a fabulous shaft!
