  1. Same is true in club fitting. The gobs of data that TrackMan/Quad throw at you are only as useful as the fitter's wisdom to know what they need to be looking for/striving to reach for the player to help them score to the best of their ability. When shots start to routinely pass the eyeball test, the numbers are already there without having to look at them. It's about a whole lot more than making the carry/total and spin say ludicrous things.
  2. X Forged 4-9 in a non-staffers bag; only took 12 years, but Callaway finally got the formula right again following '13 XF. IG showed that Adam Scott may be playing the new proto MB in anger this week as well.
  3. A 50S grin Opus bent to 51, followed by what I will neither confirm nor deny is going to be coming to take its place.
  4. Chrome Tour Triple Diamond is worth a try. EDIT: See now that you've given that a twist already.
  5. Me when contrarians attempt to defend the indefensible on the internet...
  6. I switched mine into 2g front 14g back very early on; made the flight characteristics much more playable. Less inclined to make Quad/TrackMan say silly things, but definitely added launch, spin, peak height, descent angle etc.
  7. When you find a first club under driver that you trust, play that thing until it breaks.
  8. Water, electrolyte, fruit etc. etc.
  9. I get it, but that points clearly to deficient pre-round preparation and/or that even 64 ounces was insufficient. Getting ahead the night before and morning of playing in brutal conditions cannot be overstated, and it’s all but impossible to overdo.
  10. Concur on all; surprised at how under the radar the ETD fairway woods have stayed since release. The Elyte Ti suited me better in 3w, but ETD is the first time I've ever carried a 5w and it's been a favorite all season long.
  11. Ah yes, the good ol' Gumby transformation. Didn't adequately hydrate before or during.
  12. Said it before, but it's worth repeating. The most telling line in that whole slop-fest is "I'm sorry for what happened" and not "I'm sorry for what I did." No responsibility taken, no remorse for anything except the fully justified blowback. Seeing his first round performance, Royal Portrush would be well served to hand him is locker contents at the conclusion of his second round rather than grant him access.
  13. Downside of this is still having to occasionally hear the "Grant's good enough to play the Tour, but doesn't want to because he makes more doing YT" nonsense.
  14. It's just Rollinson re-releasing his greatest hits from when he was Mr. Odyssey.
