Not up to the usual GolfWRX standard, but for anyone who may be interested, Woosie's clubs at the Senior Open. Oddly, Hogans, with a trusty KBS graphite-shafted TM 3-iron in the bag. Woods are all TM Qi10. Driver with a Ventus black. Irons look straight off the peg. Even had the stock ferrules on them.

The OP did ask, so I'm sorry to report this; mat562 and the Gachet ride again in 2026 - for the fourth time since 2017.

Favorite OTS Scotty Cameron of all time
mat562 replied to SteezyGolf's topic in Classic Golf And Golfers
I'm not a big Cameron fan, but I've somehow racked up five of them. They're all older models; for me, the time when Cameron putters genuinely were top drawer stuff, quality-wise as well as just price-wise. The older ones have a cachet and a quality feel to them that the more recent ones don't have, in my opinion. Of them all, the original gun blue-finished Newport is my favourite. I've also got a Mil Spec Newport which has seen significant bag time over twenty-odd years, and I occasionally go back to one of a couple of Newport TEI3s that I like and consider to be fine putters. -
'Why don't you give a mallet putter a try?' has to be right up there with Chamberlain's 'Are you a waiter?' line at Berchtesgaden in the things people wish they never said compendium.

Just reel off another 61, Rory. As easy as that.

I want to hear Faldo's insights, but after McDowell's umpteenth 'Yannnowwww,' and 'Burrrr-tahhhhh,' in his cod James Cagney whyyyy I oughtta burr, I've had to hit the mute button. Please keep him away from the Sky coverage next year. It's not in Northern Ireland, so there's no reason he needs to be there for novelty value.

Graeme McDowell's 'Why I oughta...' accent.

Lately it's puerile shouts after tee shots and youngsters saying 'Can I 'ave yer ball, bruv,' adjacent to the 18th green.

Everyone misses Alliss.

In my experience, also avoid the Jameson. And Guinness. And Murphy's. etc. I'm still waiting for my Peter O'Toole impersonation prize to arrive in the mail. Maybe I inadvertently gave the appraisers the wrong address?

Reed's currently +3, but a late rally would presumably have you on the Death Cap-laced Beef Wellington.

Prompting outrage is the fad these days. Congratulations.

Also, Inci Mehmet is basically a Bond Girl.

I'm half Norwegian and I grew up in Yorkshire, so I'm used to crappy, rainy weather. Dreich, as my Scottish pals would term it. Nonetheless it's so annoying, sitting at home amidst a hosepipe ban and an officially-declared drought, to see the championship marred by this sort of weather.

Talor Gooch wouldn't be going out of bounds, I know that. Because of the quality of his striking, I mean. Obviously. Not because he isn't pegging it up this week.

I went to the Open that year and saw it up close. I don't think O'Meara used it often, as it still had the Ping shaft band and even the original stencilling on the shaft.

My powers are fading, but I reckon I'd still rank highly in this category, despite my now mediocre play.

I was there to see the Dark Shark take that Open win. One of the nicest guys in the game and his play over the weekend was stellar.
