  1. Our club bought chrome/metal versions of those plastic tools. I agree the plastic is basically impossible to beat.
  2. I bought this one as well but have since reverted to my older repair tool which is single prong. The Discommon tool is quite heavy and the prong itself is long and too narrow. I found it taking me longer to repair pitch marks and making a mess of the larger/deeper marks. I play on bentgrass and never tried it on other surfaces.
  3. I have the MGI Navigator GPS model. I rarely use the GPS screen, as I prefer my laser. That said, I do find it useful in a few specific situations: -When I'm in a tough spot and can't see the pin or my lay-up area. -During slow rounds, where I want to get ready in advance. I’ll laser the pin from farther back in the fairway, compare it to the front/middle/back yardages on the GPS, and then use that differential to estimate the pin yardage when I get to my ball. I enjoy using the caddy overall, but I use stand bags and refuse to switch to a cart or hybrid bag. I had to buy an adapter off Etsy just to keep my bag from twisting, which feels ridiculous given the price of the unit. It’s clear they’re trying to push people into their bag ecosystem which only guarantees I’ll never buy one of their bags. Stability is decent. I’ve dumped mine a few times thanks to the elevation changes on my course, but after a few rounds, I learned where I need to keep a hand on it. The controls are a weak point. We grew up playing video games, there’s no reason for the responsiveness to be this poor. If I input too many commands quickly, there’s noticeable lag when trying to stop it. It’s not just my unit, my wife’s does the same. It shouldn’t require a “less is more” approach to inputs. This is my first electric caddy, but I’d say the value is underwhelming. Walking has improved my game and made golf more enjoyable, so I don’t regret the purchase but I’m confident someone else can build a better product.
  4. I've been working on adding more 'float load' because it's an easy way to add yards. Unfortunately I also find it a great way to block shots 50+ yards right. Once I artificially force more angle it gets way harder to square properly at impact.
  5. I've been gaming the GT3 for the past three weeks after switching from the Qi35 LS. Absolutely love the look of the GT3 at address. In terms of forgiveness and spin, it feels similar to the Qi35. I just got tired of the TaylorMade warranty subscription service. So far, so good!
  6. I am loving the spin on the i230s. Ball comes in high and holds firm greens. Standard spec 4 - PW. 👌
