I agree with the starter.

Yeah, the days of PV being in excellent shape look to be over. It was in average shape when I played it last summer and over Memorial Day weekend this year. Beat up in a bunch of spots and the greens were not good. Too bad. PV is still a good layout and value, but you now have to question whether it's worth the effort to make the drive. 5 years ago, it was an easy call.

No course is going to give a rain check to a group after finishing 17 holes. Nor should they. Also, unless forced off the course because of lightning, just finish the damn round. They had one to play and were in carts! Drop the whole PGA Tour routine, play ready golf and MAN the F up. My sympathy to the PB shop jock. I would have laughed these clowns right out of the pro shop. Insanity!
