  1. It's opened doors for me in business, friendship and community. It's also taught me about me and it's kept me humbling me when I thought I'm good and I won't have to struggle playing golf again. It's a roller coaster, but very rewarding and this is my game for life.
  2. I don't know why but when I saw C/D I really thought you meant crossdressers.... it didn't register until later that it's person C and D.

    HEAT!!!

I might have to change my stance on playing in the heat... Not sure what's up today, I mean it was 80+ cloudy and humid but I played my best when it's sunny and hotter last week. Today felt stiff and unnatural. Maybe it's just me but I couldn't strike the ball well at all. Only putting was fine.
  4. This year I started to be a lot more active in the forum and I find that the people here are some of the nicest, wise and mature individuals I've come across online. Thank you for building this community and a home for us and I hope this forum stays the way it is and only get better. @easyyy
  5. I have an R11 dot tour issue and it's a bomber, but it's getting a little worn. Trying to find another one but no luck. Do you guys know how the retail head compares to the tour issue version?
  6. Hey man, I'd talk to a dietician and a physical coach to start. I'd look for them at a high competitive type gym then branch off looking for an athletic coach that also does callesthenics .
  7. 1. I don't post whore *thumbs up* 2. I don't understand the question, but my answer is yes..... 3. Uuuhhh... I'm just slightly under. 4. high quality? Nope. 5. I do, My friend collects all of his little daughter's doodles. She'll be big! Well... @bogeypro can have my gift basket I suppose... he deserves it more than me. *pouts*
  8. I checked and I’ve been here for 13 years and the admins didn’t send me my gift basket. what gives!
  9. what.... I'm pretty sure I've been here for over a year! I never got a wicker gift basket! Lemme check my sign up date
  10. Congrats on 20 years!! I just recently came back and hope I can be here for as long as you
  11. You should try teaching a Japanese kid from Japan.
  12. All of us have been there and I think you're very blessed to have been able to play since you were a teen. Don't let it go, it's a great game and it can open doors to business and other successful people. 1. I'd take a break until the itch to hit balls come back, you'll be more relaxed. 2. Most coaches are crap... they really are. Every human is unique, people have their own tendencies and quirkiness. If a coach just wants to give you a textbook swing , run. Quick fix for a flaw, run. Doesn't give you the absolute basic foundation, run. GIve you what you want? Not what you need, run. Unfortunately I can't help you look for a coach, but if you don't give up and you keep interviewing and doing intro lessons that's free with teachers, you'll end up finding the right one for you. So don't give up, you'll regret it. PS: 40yo is not old. Unless you don't take care of your diet and physical body of course... LOL

    HEAT!!!

I'm on a diet and I train very hard and under some stress usually. I think it's that.
  14. why can't you just do the drill at home or at the range then get good enough for the feel to be real and you don't have to do this while you're playing? If anything for your practice swing, you can grip down on the club you're using and just use your right hand to emulate the throwing motion............
  15. You see... I'm a sophisticated person... when I touch someone I don't want that person to be grossed out. So no, I'm not going to just tape them, Sean. And I don't know how you only have callus on 1 finger.... XD I guess I need to band aid them and secure it with white tape, sigh.
  16. what reaction and why make it worse?
  17. So I just got an offer for a Golfpass+ for $59 Is this worth it with just the 10 X $2.99 booking fee credit and what seemed to be you get $10/mo green fee credit? I'm assuming the $10/mo doesn't stack to the following month if you don't play for that month?
  18. I actually bought some from costco, they are around $20 or below and they are nice and comfy. Forgot what the brands are, but you should check them out asap before summer ends. I also bought my pants from amazon, they are really really good. $20
  19. This year I made a promise to play more, like 1-2x/week but I do practice at the range 5/week. I noticed that the callus on my finger joints specially my right hand side are becoming harder and sore when I play. I bought a callus dremmel to sand paper them down and they felt a lot better , but now when I go hit balls those areas are now very tender and a little sensitive. (I love my UtX cord grips, so I don't wanna change) I was hoping I don't need to buy a bunch of band aid to protect them, so what can I do? =\ Any one has a trick that I'm not aware of?

  21. You sound like me…. I can’t see very far, I don’t lose balls but I can’t see where it lands half the time. that's because I’m Asian and eye sight is our flaw. are you Asian too? If so, just embrace it and know that you get an extra boost in intelligence points. (I always ask people I’m playing with to help keep an eye on my balls)

    HEAT!!!

I hear you. Ill think about this more. it’s a little hard to plan since I’m also under strict diet and training regiment this year. perhaps just a lot more water the night before?
  23. I really really like this post so much! last week was the first time I played super aggressive at my level and it was a lot of fun, but I think once in a while depending on your mood is best. going back to aggressive -> semi conservative -> putting feel variances I think is best for most days. I also believe going conservative (less driver) -> conservative (all center green) -> putting variance , on off days where you’re tired or just not functioning as normal.
  24. For me since Covid is people wrecking the course by littering, spitting seeds everywhere, spitting in front of you, smuggling borg, talking loud during tee off, playing music, complaining about missing a 100yRd putt , complaining on my behalf when I miss a 20ft putt, driving their damn carts recklessly and on the green, teeing off first when I’m clearly in the back, coming to my fairway after their slice and I’m ready to drive, I forgot the rest, I’ll come back and rant at a later date when I remember more. xD
