Having a great time in Nova Scotia, did a boat tour around Oak Island today and actually went on the Island. If you have followed the show this tour was excellent. The local diver on the show Tony Sampson was our guide and he was fantastic, lots of local info and facts that never make it on the show.
I was skeptical about coming, but the wife wanted to see this place before we got too old and after the tour today I am glad we came.
The area is beautiful and from our dealing with the locals they could care less about the mystery, but it brings needed dollars into the area. If I had money I would have a summer place here, lots of golf and beautiful weather.
Just like most nice places, the mega rich folk are buying up the reasonable priced land and pushing out the locals and driving up the cost of living.
Of course in the next or so they are opening the island up to walking tours, unfortunately we will be long gone.
