  1. I got to see him play once at Rancho Park GC in L.A., back in what I like to call the "golden age" of the Senior Tour. This would have been around 1992. In addition to Trevino, we had Player, Palmer, Chi Chi, Floyd, Irwin, Colbert, Barber, Coody, Sifford, et al. Nicklaus was also still playing and winning, though he skipped the L.A. tournament. Trevino could still hit any shot he wanted and he hadn't lost any of his gift of gab either 🙂
  2. Peter Jacobson used to have a habit of chewing on his used tees. I remember an announcer pointing out all the pesticides, fertilizer, that could be on those tees.
  3. I'm guessing you meant "duck" hook? 🙂 That's when I usually say, "schistosomiasis".. 🙂
  4. I guess that's why they turned "Poppy's Pond" at the Nabisco/Dinah Shore into a pool... Did they have the same thing this year in Texas?
  5. That's why I asked... I can see that as well. It's been a long time since I found a keeper in my bucket at either of the 2 ranges I go to, though.
  6. Me too.. Several years ago, I picked up a used Titleist 910, 10.5* with a 43.5" Aldila NV shaft. I thought, "This is weird", but for $50, I figured what the heck. I could always replace the shaft. It works great for me off the tee.
  7. Based on how they look, I'm pretty sure my muni doesn't wash the range balls 🙂 , and even so, if a "good one" was on the range and got picked up by the cart, would it not also get washed with the rest? Honestly, I had though the discussion here was going to be more of a moral dilemma (Is the ball the property of the range, etc?). I am glad to find I'm not the only germaphobe on here, though... 🙂 You guys got me thinking now 🙂
  8. You guys think the range balls are sterilized before you get them? 🫤
  9. If you find a nice Pro-V1, or similar ball in the bucket with your range balls, do you feel a moral obligation to hit it, or put it in your bag... Asking for a friend 😉
  10. Those J Blades look great. Mine looks like the top right one in the first photo.
  11. Love my old J-Blade. It's been in my bag for going on 30 years now. It belonged to my late dad.
  12. Occasionally, Costco has some good deals on name brand golf shirts. I bought some Adidas and Callaway shirts there in the last year or two. I also confess to buying a few Greg Norman shirts and pants there as well.
  13. I liked the documentary. Sure, the Watson/Cink thing has been discussed ad nauseum, but I've always liked Cink and I didn't know much of his backstory, particularly his wife's battle with stage 4 cancer. My wife is a 3x cancer survivor, so that part really hit home.
  14. File under "The one that got away".. A few years ago, I had some time to kill before a lesson at the local muni, so I stopped into a "Play It Again Sports" store. They had a very clean Ping Anser Ti that they were selling for the price of an average bronze Anser (~$40). I don't think they knew what they had. Stupidly, I decided to get to my lesson and come back on the way home. I came back only about an hour or so later, but it was gone. Lesson learned. 😞

    Club Horder?

This is Golfwrx. The definition of a "golf club hoarder" is different here than in the "normal" world 🙂 You're fine.
