  1. I have a Honda Z-RV, don’t know if that what it’s called in the US. It’s a nice car but I have to drop the back seats to get more than one set in. I can put my bag and trolley in though just in the trunk space.
  2. I don’t think the S grind changed that much between SM7 and 9. From memory I think it’s when they started playing with the CG though. I am playing the SM10 which I think is an improvement on the more recent generations. All of the marketing says it for players that like to keep the face square and change the loft by moving the handle backwards or forwards. But in reality you can open the face, however it will increase the amount of effective bounce. It might be worth trying an M grind to see how you get on, otherwise you might want to look to add a 60 L or T grind for those types of shots where you want to manipulate the face.
  3. If your ball striking ability and spin deviation is at tour level then great. 145 carry for a wedge is slightly above tour average, loosing 500 rpms with a slight miss hit is going to cause a flyer. I just think it’s better to have a touch more spin on a stock shot at that speed. Others may take a different view.
  4. From a mat, that would be fine. Off grass personally I would say that is a touch low for a PW.
  5. In that case I would expect your spin numbers with the CB wedge is on the lower side, it would explain the flyers. I had a set of the 716CB’s they were really good in the wind. I found though that they did launch high with low spin. It will be worth changing the shaft and playing around with the loft and lie angles, you should be able to make it work.
  6. I would keep the X100 in your wedge, I tried going S400 and had the same issue as you, same kind of distance numbers sorry haven’t read all of the thread in case this has been mentioned. The Mizuno wedge is likely has a flatter lie angle than your Titleist’s which may be causing the face to open slightly at strike. Get it checked if you plan to keep it. The shaft might be shorter too which would explain the swingweight difference. The specialist wedges will spin a bit more, it’s why you see most people with a 46 degree Vokey. My last PW was an SM7 Vokey, I have the 620MB now bent to 48 for gapping.
  7. The 2 clubs that I have changed in the past few years that have made the biggest difference are driver and putter. With my irons and wedges I know if I keep to a traditional style head with a Dynamic Gold shaft all will be ok regardless of the brand, but I do have a strong preference. I’ve struggled with Driver for years, it improved a few years ago with a shaft change, but changing to my current driver has been transformative. It’s a close call with the putter, but being in play off the tee more and hitting more fairways is certainly helping.
  8. They are virtually all fade bias in the standard settings.
  9. Presumably last year you could hit them? Unless you have changed your swing or been injured, it’s likely not to be the clubs. Check your ball position, it’s probably too far forward with both. Play them like you are hitting a 4 iron.
