He's making way more than $20,000 a month lol he has sponsorships, does ads and is involved in owning his own clothing line. You can think it's dumb, but playing in this event helps the tour way more than it helps him financially. Knowing the tour he'd play and they wouldn't even show any of his shots because they're so out to lunch. Literally grant doing a video at that course and posting to youtube would generate more views than probably the whole viewership of the tournament for the week on TV. I barely watch youtube golf anymore but it's just reality that if they let him play a tournament and everyone wants to see him play, and they won't show him hardly at all on TV, why not find a way to mutually benefit if it's possible.
