  1. If you call Mizuno, they will help you identify whether the irons are fake or not.
  2. The Smoke Mini is neutral biased, easy to hit straight, easy to move both ways, way more forgiving around the face and guaranteed to hit more fairways.
  3. I believe the axiom in theory, but I'm trending the other way. I want a set 50° GW that goes around 110 yd full swing, 75 3/4s and 50 half. Unfortunately with modern irons like the hollow bodies I recently switched to, they are just to hot to get a good feel of control. On the flip side, recent bladed wedges and grinds have gotten so good, that I never worry about making a full swing with my 56° or even 60° wedge, where in the past I would always prefer to take something off my set GW. It's part grind and part CG. I'm probably going to pick up a 50° RTX6 to match my 56° and 60°, but my only fear is I'll be the guy grabbing 3 wedges from the cart for a lie and position I can't see. Really it's a big reason I liked the set GW, I would never use it around the green.
  4. Finally picked up an Elyte for fun. Definitely a different sound and feel to the Smoke Mini. Neither better or worse, just softer. I'm still a bit baffled as I can't tell where the ball is going just on feel alone. I've barely hit it, so I sure I'll figure it out. Overall a huge waste of money, because the Smoke is just as good or better, but I knew that going in. My Smoke is very neutral biased with a couple of grams moved to the front and easy to move both ways. I'm finding the Elyte in the stock setting more fade biased and much more difficult to turn over. I don't want to or need to shift the 13g slug to the heel, I just want to neutralized the fade. This is a costly problem as your have to buy your own rear weights and I like experimenting around. I'm keeping the Smoke and will be trading in my Elyte Mini for next year's Mini!
  5. Exactly. The lower tee height forces you to shallow out your AOA and not swing up at the ball. Although I do tee it up a bit to hit a fade, I tee it down to hit a draw. I played my Smoke Mini a ton, got my driver mojo back and have been using driver pretty much only. I just picked up the Elyte Mini for fun and was hitting it horribly. I finally realized, I was teeing the ball too high and swinging up like a driver. Tee'd it lower, a bit back in my stance and covered the ball. Easy.
  6. I just dumped my Jaws Full Toe raw, mostly because I didn't like the look of that giant rusty face. They may feel softer without a finish and are excellent at killing glare, but it turns out that you loose spin with a rusty or raw face. The new milling and finishes like my Cleveland RTX 6 Hydrazip look and perform way better.
  7. I have the ♦♦♦ TD and my gut feeling is I'd have no issue bagging a plain ♦♦♦. My AI Smoke Max was more fade biased than either. I find the ♦♦♦ TD takes edge off of over cutting and still allows me to turn one over the other way. It's just a matter of which bias you want. A little left, the ♦♦♦ TD, a little right, a ♦♦♦.
