Have you found any difference in feel since you swapped the shaft? I've just been listening to a podcast with Bruce Rearick where he was talking about how stiffer shafts can "firm up" the feel of the putter face. I didn't like the insert so wondered if a shaft change could be the answer. I've got a Stability Carbon in my Atlanta at the moment and it certainly gives good feedback on the quality of contact.

I can only compare the new Scotty insert to my older Atlanta and I MUCH prefer the feel of my Atlanta. Why Scotty didn't use a milled face rather than an insert is totally beyond me. I love the versa style alignment and the thin face of the Fastback, but that insert really spoiled it for me.

I don't have a comparison picture with the Alcatraz but here's one with an Atlanta/Odyssey 3 and a Jailbird mini. The Alcatraz is larger than the Jailbird.

If you can find what you're looking for, they make amazing used buys. I also agree that I'd have one over a Scotty (in fact I have two of them!). Great putters that are under-appreciated.

I'm off to collect a GT2 head today. Been using GT3 with Ventus Red Velocore+ since March and despite an excellent fitting, my driving stats have deteriorated ever since. Tried a GT2 head at the T series iron launch this week and it was significantly more forgiving. Came from a Ping G430LST which wasn't the longest, but consistently found the fairway.
