  1. Thanks for the report - sorry to hear about Raven as we always loved having that as course we would play when up in Summit county. Last year we did Keystone River and Breck, and Breck was by far in superior condition - glad to hear that Breckenridge is continuing to be excellent. No family trip this year means no Summit county golf but happy to hear that you enjoyed it.
  2. Given we have both played the Ridge, would you swap that out for Murphy Creek the first day? Has anyone played there recently and how was the condition. Obviously a much shorter drive after landing at DIA. We are playing Colorado National early on Thursday before flying out.
  3. Thanks for the response. Somehow, having played all over the front range, I have never played Murphy Creek so planning on adding that one into the mix. Right now, here is what we are thinking: Monday - arrive and play Ridge at Castle Pines Tuesday - Murphy Creek and GVR (I have played here, my son hasn't) Wednesday - 36 at Walnut Creek Thursday - Still open - fly out at 4:35. Son has played Colorado National as part of the CU golf camp back in 2019 - we always enjoyed playing out there.

    Fox Hollow

I grew up about 10 minutes away and remember when they opened in 92 or 93 - was one of Golf Digest's Best New Public Courses in America. Lots of good golf in that area, but was really a step up in quality and design at the time that has stayed relevant. Love that they have 27 holes with each 9 having different character.
  5. Denver native now living in Nashville who will be coming back for 4 days (8/4 - 8/7) with my son (+2 index, plays in college) to visit my Mother and play in the altitude. We always make Summer trip, so I have played most all of the typical public options - so looking for some feedback to potentially change it up a bit. My Mother lives in Lakewood, but we are willing to drive up to an hour - so that brings Bear Dance in South, and TPC Colorado up north. Here is what I am thinking right now, but some questions based on following the Rockies forum. Monday: Arrive 9:20AM and have a time booked at Walnut Creek for 12:20. Son played in the Hale Irwin AJGA and this is one of his favorite courses (I really enjoy this one too). Was thinking GVR since my Son hasn't played there, but they have a tournament in AM. Tuesday: Booked the old standby of Fossil Trace for 9:50. I have played here 25+ times and my son 10+. This is one I would be willing to trade out. Wednesday: Was thinking of going back to Bear Dance - we both have played there and the Ridge, but potentially thinking of subbing Red Hawk Ridge in or even Plum Creek. Thursday: We are flying out at 4:50 so thinking staying close to home and playing Fox Hollow early AM to allow time to get to DIA. I am also looking at getting access to private. We belong to a good (but not upper tier) private club, so any recommendations on a private would be good. I haven't played Lakewood or Rolling Hills in quite some time, so was potentially thinking there. Any thoughts would be highly welcomed - right now we are 97 with oppressive humidity in TN, so getting to some dryer air will be welcomed.
  6. I am still amazed at the escalation of the golf/private scene here in Nashville.
  7. Is the bloom off the rose on wearing the major design? Does this mean the players think Nike is just mailing it in? I for one think the Open design is unique and very good, but can see how this has worn thin with their staff.
  8. So Old Natchez is very compelling. I have a few friends that have been there for 15+ years, could have upgraded, and stayed - so hopefully that is indicative. When we moved back from New England 4 years ago - Old Natchez was on our list and the only reason we didn’t join is that we got a house on the east side of Brentwood and the drive would have been 35 minutes + each way (we are at Governors Club). Feel free to message me - we looked at living in Westhaven (this was 15 years ago) and have a number of colleagues and friends who live there now.
  9. Thanks for the pics. You mentioned that you had the Pros - do you still have them or were those traded for the 200s? If you do still have them - could we get a picture of address of both. If not, could we get an address picture of the ZX7 and 150s you have there (I play pros currently and my son plays ZForged/ZX7).
  10. Great pics - thank you. Probably the best view of the soles that I have seen.
  11. I think you will like the Air. I am a former Links Legend user, have an Air and a 2.5, and ride mostly now with some walking thrown in when I travel (along with a full set of mid-size grips). I have found that an older Stitch bag is also good with avoiding club tangle and although it was a minor gripe with the Air, I prefer a 4 way top vs. the 6 way in being able to get clubs back into the bag when you have several due to cart path only. Keep us posted - Vessel makes a great product.
  12. Just noticed the same thing - strange given that this is basically his shoe.
  13. You and @dmeeksDC need to stop. Have the cart loaded with a 4-AW set with MMT shafts. Switched to graphite and played MMT when I went ordered the Pros - and with the 2X trade, feeling a blind order is the right move.
  14. I think it is there, but with the Titleist dropping near the same window I can see why things are a bit quiet. I know some have already received them, but my local PGA Superstore still doesn't have fitting heads. I would like to see the actual head size and the chrome finish before ordering blind.
  15. Keep us posted on what happens with the 14-2 setup. I couldn't agree more with your assessment - have been playing the 15 with a EC1 Aretera shaft and it just continues to shine. As you mention, just the right size to be great off the tee, and off the deck.
