Would an HL or retro loft set of Mizunos or Pings help the descent angle, or maybe even a ball like the Prov1x? out of the box thought - hybrid iron set?

This thread really is the antithesis of Golfwrx. I’m surprised the OEM sponsors don’t try to shut it down.

Not apples to apples, but my driver battle this year was Max K, Ping G440 max, and GT2. Denali red in the GT2 and MaxK and the Cb Alta in the Ping. The Ping was just too spinny for my swing. The Max K was ahead for about 2 weeks, just performed, then it turned on me. Clearly the club, lol. In the end the GT2 was less spinny, and surprisingly maybe, solid across the face, even my dreaded toe strike. Plus, it was longer, not by much. Dispersion was really close. Again, ymmv.

CCC- great description of your current bag, but share some thoughts about your current game. Would GI or SGI irons make golf more enjoyable, do you need a high moi driver. Is a mallet putter going to help?

Kia Sorrento, I’ve stacked 4 sets of clubs, suit cases and coolers for a golf trip. Look, embrace the minivan life. It will pay off one day. Used a minivan for all kinds of trips and children’s sporting events. Yes, you might end up as the neighborhood taxi. Just beg off claiming you have a round of golf to get to. by the way, my boot only hold one foot. lol.

Interesting, I just did a twilight round at my league course and also went 37, with two lip outs from close. Before that my PB was 39. My 58 has been on fire for several weeks. Pop it close, putt it in, on to the next tee.

I tried to go TSR2 to GT2 with Tensei Blue. In the TSR, it was solid. The GT2 with the Tensei Blue 1K was a miserable failure. Before bailing, I grabbed a Denali Red and gained a little distance, and a little better dispersion. I’d say for the cost, the TSR2 was fine. But this is golfwrx, so…

Migrated back to the G430s, they were a good deal and I snagged all the wedges up to 58. I have had many many iron sets since 2010, like 40 sets. Churn was my iron game. The G430s with the AWT 2.0 have been so solid my churn days are over. Just super consistent.

The type of club, the tech, the shaft, all can help mitigate a slice for those who are recreational golfers.

Big Scotty Homer here. Last few years I have been underwhelmed. These and the Studio Style are much better, one person’s opinion.

I’m 4 wood, 7 wood and heavy ponder on 9 wood. G440. Think I’d replace my 6 iron, but it knows and has performed quite well for the past several rounds. I believe it also knows there’s a dark damp corner in my basement with spiders. Other clubs, mostly drivers and even a few bowling balls had resided there. After a few weeks, they learn. Long story short, 7 and 9 is the new 3 and 5. If it works, do it. This is golfwrx after all.

Ping LST with the flat setting will get you there. As others have mentioned, swing path too. But I get your question.
