When I think of a truly great golfer, I think of Ben Hogan. He came from nothing, and nearly lost whatever he had trying to chase his dream. Once he started to win, he never tired of trying to be the best. At 60 on gimpy legs, he was still out competing to be the best.
I don't see Scottie with that kind of desire when he's close to 50. And I'm OK with that; it is a different world for the cream of the professional golf kingdom.
