  1. This sort of topic is definitely all Howard and Stuart. It probably wouldn’t make a big enough difference if just the butt section was measured, but do u know how much the other shafts were tip trimmed? Generally speaking It was common practice for a 5 wood to be tipped 1.0”. It wouldn’t bring the frequency up drastically, but was just curious.
  2. A fitting is very useful for a large segment of golfers. As others have stated; going to a knowledgeable qualified fitter can be a game changer (it was for me). Sadly the title of “club fitter” has become the same as “nutritionist”, just a self given title that wasn’t earned. This has become main problem with “club fitting”, and too much of the time it’s “club selling”. At the very least, hopefully someone can learn what they don’t like/do well with. Eliminating variables is a good starting point.
  3. Honestly, none of them are comparable to DI. Maybe the original Ventus Blue would be in the ball park, but the DI feels and plays much looser than any Ventus.
  4. No offense to the OP - but there are more and more ppl trying to compare the Fuji Ventus shafts to a Graphite Design shaft. Most GD shafts (aside from VF) are going to feel and play different than Ventus. The Ventus TR’s are really only comparable the VF. Hopefully this little P.S.A. can help anybody that reads it and saves them some time and possibly some $.
  5. I think Modus 120’s are in their own category. I have tried modus120 in stiff and x-stiff, and currently game PX LZ 6.0’s. I can see how some would see them as similar, the 120’s feel quite a bit looser in the mid and def the butt section.
  6. I fit into the group that does much better with PX vs. x100. There are a lot of ppl that don’t like PX, i think that probly comes down to the stiffer feeling butt section of the PX. When I was fit into PX iron shafts, I was shocked at the difference it made, gained decent amount of distance and drastically tightened up dispersion. I tend to struggle when I feel a shaft has a good amount of bend to it, or has a weaker butt section. I have a moderate/slightly aggressive transition but a late release. I am definitely sensitive to profile changes in shafts.
