  1. 1) Yes, I play an Elyte at 42.5”. 2) I think you could change your perspective on the value of a 15-20 yard gap… you’d be surprised at how small the gap is for pros between Driver and 3w. Driver at 310 and 3w at 285 (ok, that’s a 25 yards gap) is quite common. 3) I don’t know what course(s) you play, but personally, I probably on have a 15-20 yrd gap between driver and mini, but there is great value for me in being able to hit different shapes with these two clubs. My driver can see different shot shapes while my MiniD is a reliable draw. So valuable… especially on holes with a +1-2 stroke hazard on the right side. On my course I have 3 holes with OB right but only a .5 or 1 stroke hazard on the left, one hole with a tree to hit a draw around, and 2 other holes that I just have comfort of aiming down the right side and knowing there’s a wall there.
  2. They are FOGC… face only golf clubs. You should know that. On another note, I’ll be right back with picks of the backs.
  3. One item for sale today. Miura CB 1006 irons, 4-P. They have been refinished in copper. I have no clue how these were refinished, but this is the most durable finish I’ve ever seen, it just holds up really well. 37.25” 7 iron with half inch increments from there, except PW, which is a .25” increment. These have Midsize TV Cord grips, but they are getting slick; the buyer will either need to replace these or take sandpaper to the grips to get another 5 rounds out of them.
  4. The kids… when they misbehave.
  5. Dicky Bland has to be the best story in golf, right? I root for that guy hard. Grinding for 25 years and at 49 started making real money.
  6. 1) TSR 2, 10* Head. $220. In regular used condition, the only real notable thing is the flecks where the face meets the crown. This flecking is so ubiquitous across the crown I’m guessing it’s just a thing with the TSR line. 2) Graphite Design VF5x. $175. Built by The Peoples Club to play 45” in the TSR2. I’m dropping $25 off the usual price because it has some schmootz inside the shaft that might annoy you. Sounds like 2 small pieces of glue (or something) that’ll fall right out when you change the grip… It came like this from People’s Club. Grip in Zcord Midsize plus 2 wraps. 3) Cameron Champions Choice. $400. 34”. I forget what this model is called, but it’s not the Newport that everyone loves, but the other kind they released. I don’t know why I ever got this, and one I got it, I don’t know why I took the wrapping off, then I don’t know why I rolled putts on the floor with it, and after hitting crappy putts on the floor, I don’t know why I ever took it on course. Probably played 27 holes with it if that type of thing matters to you. 4) Scotty Cameron Other Putter. 35”. $100. This putter is refinished with some dark black… I got it off the EBays 3-4 years ago. The finish is fantastic but the paintfill is poor. The Stability Shaft, I bought that puppy right off the BGT Website. I just want to get rid of my putters that don’t work.
  7. Love companies like this. Im in the market for a travel bag, will look for this brand.
  8. Golf is relentless. Here in the northeast, we seem to have a nice built in offseason of 3-4 months to build up the longing for the game but A lot of hockey guys I know had to step away for 4-5 years, and then they come back to the beer league and have a great time. Step away. It’s ok… 50% of people in the usa step away from their marriages, I think it’s ok to step away from golf for a bit. One thing I’m certain of, golf will always be here to welcome us back… with open arms.
