A timely reminder. MAP prices are set for Ping, but there's wiggle room in the upcharges. You may find some vendors do more than others.

It would be grand if Ping would allow a "blended stock" set. Make it a SKU. 5-7, 8-P with 240 & BPS. And basically "ensure" the blend with matching lofts (I know they are already). I'd love to see what the uptake would be.

Great question. FWIW, I play red irons, and I play a black 4 and 5 iron. Probably because of my short arms. 🙂 Don't be too afraid of a standard black in just the 4. It's likely going to be fine/preferable.

G440 irons, and the 430, 410, 400… those are Ping's biggest seller by a lot. It's just proof that we're not the "mass market", and sometimes it's a stark reminder.

I think you've seen EVERYONE's prices go up. It's a bit unfair to say "that one model has doubled" -- In that time, every iron set everywhere has roughly doubled. I get your point; you felt like relatively it was a bit lower than others. Maybe that was true, but not by much. Go take a look at Callaway and TM and see what they're charging. I think you'll find that their adherents are roughly in the same boat. It's also harder to sell your main cash cow, the 400 series, if you have a cheap alternative.
