  1. As most have mentioned regarding this topic, it definitely depends on your gapping. While a majority of golfers would benefit with either a 7 or 9-wood in the bag, I feel, more likely than not, having both would be redundant. I feel if you're a slower SS player, having woods within 3 degrees of each other could get awfully close to a 10 yard gapping, which I personally don't think is a good usage at the top end. You might see pros or high SS players with both a 7 and 9 in the bag, especially with courses playing 7500+, if they expect numerous approaches in the ~230-250 range. Plus, they are more than capable of dropping a wedge from the bag when needed...Most amateurs would benefit from a larger gap at the top of their bag, but if you aren't having trouble filling out 14 clubs, who am I to judge!
