  1. Hey, were you able to get this figured out? I just got a BLP and yardages are really short. Was getting 135-140y with my 8 iron when I know well its 160 carry. I'm about to recalibrate as well but curious your experience.
  2. I'd echo @phizzy30 here. Currently have a Ventus Black HB 9TX in a Mizuno Fly Hi 3 19* driving iron and then KBS Proto 105 S+ in a TSR3 24* hybrid. Both are great, very stable but not super boardy. Neither feel like they require an aggressive transition to time them and make work. I tried an Axiom 105X in a 4 driving iron a year ago and hated it. Felt very whippy toward the bottom. Just to clarify, are you currently using Dart or Dart V in your UDI? I've been trying the Dart V 120 F5 in a few mid irons and they seem pretty stable. Haven't tried the 105 F5 Dart V yet but likely will in a 4 iron.
  3. I'm not a fan of their branding colors and skulls but I do love my Boss putter. Really great mid mallet shape and the head is actually pretty clean. Nothing on the sole and I just use a different head cover. I'd definitely buy from them again though because they're nice quality milled putters.
  4. I think that happened with the last MP line. Might have been November release in Japan and then Feb release in US.
  5. What's an example of an older Mizuno CB that you'd like that the S3 is not? S3 is pretty close to MP64 without being a straight re-release. (having said that, I was secretly hoping the S line would be modern interpretation/re-releases of their best irons over the last 30 years and would sit beside and in addition to the current MP and JPX lines).
  6. I have a Volvo V90 and have no issues with three bags, but I’ll likely be replacing it with an A6 Allroad which has a bigger trunk space. FWIW, my brother in law drove us to Bandon a few months ago in his new Accord. That humble car swallowed three golf bags without taking woods out, an MGI, and a couple good size soft luggage bags all in the trunk. I was impressed.
  7. @beluga99 what did the spin look like for you on both?
  8. Hi all, clearing out some stuff. Prices listed are shipped and insured. PP G&S only and not interested in trades. Srixon LS 9* driver - $300 played 6 rounds on it Ordered at 45.5” Tensei 1K Blue 65 Stiff ordered tipped 1” Has 12g and 4g weights installed but will come with 6g, 14g, and 16g weights as well (ordered from Srixon). Will include 3 new Srixon adapters as well. Modus 120 X 4-P - $OLD Bought here but I never installed. Was told the came out of standard length Mizuno irons Skytrak+ - $1,400 Like new, used only three times. I was hoping to build a dedicated space to use it but it didn’t work out. Comes with protective case Evans golf bag - $OLD Basically a new version of Ping L8 bag. Just under 4lbs. Really nice quality bag with GREAT pocket/storage but I just prefer double strap these days Used 1 round
  9. All the people with torches cancelling their orders right now because they don't understand PE are going to be unhappy when they have to get to the back of the line again when they reorder. Good news is it should be a quicker line
  10. You could try KBS Tour 110. Modus 105 X is basically the he same weight, profile, and stiffness
  11. Any of the X model users happen to know their head weight along with which weights installed? I’m guessing with stock 10 and 3 it’s coming in at about 196g?
  12. Thanks, I’ve seen some reviews that it can spin in that range and I expect it to be higher by design. Sounds like I really need to test them though because the whole line is good (as always really with Cobra). Some of the munis I play down here around Seattle are looking the same. Tale of two courses around here between summer and winter conditions which is why I like swappable weights!
  13. For those that are higher speed 110-115, what kind of spin window are you getting on the Max K? Is the forgiveness difference between it and the X noticeable? I always like the idea of front/rear swappable weights because I play year round Seattle area wanting more launch/spin in a he winter and lower launch in the summer but it sounds like the Max K still doesn’t get too high spin? Nile 12? They need to water those fairways!
  14. Thanks. How quick and easy is it to set up, level, and align? And then sync with an iPad?
  15. Well I just ordered a BLP from PlayBetter. Sounds like it's getting discontinued so on closeout $2,500. Got it at $2,250 with a code which seems like a no-brainer for how I would use it.
  16. wait this was an ebay purchase? so there was a second person that wanted this??
  17. Might want to consider a Uneekor Eye Mini Lite. Both the Eye Mini Lite and LPi are made specifically for indoor sim use (don't have on-device screens and need to be plugged in) but the Uneekor might have an advantage with lower subscription costs, depending on what you will want to use on it.
  18. As mentioned above the AMG laser pointer or an alignment stick are cheap and useful, along with recording down the line. I've also found Hackmotion to help from cleaning up wrist angles that secondarily seemed to reinforce proper plane.
  19. Great write up! I’ve bounced between PX, X100, and KBS Tour for years and definitely get what you’re saying about X100. I’ve always thought that the reason it’s still the tour favorite is because it performs best for that level (not because these guys grew up playing it), and like you said it can be manipulated well for great ball strikers. I’ve been in PX 6.0 most recently but considering going back to X100 because I might want the extra weight, plus the feel of a stepped shaft now that my transition tempo is more moderate. I’ll definitely look at trying DG Mid first before making the change.
  20. Hi all, hoping to get your thoughts and suggestions for a launch monitor. Primary use is my backyard into a net to get standard LM data. Generally won’t be using it as a sim but it would be a major bonus to do so IF it can set up quickly (synch with iPad?). Currently have a Skytrak+ and would totally keep it and use it if it were in a more dedicated indoor space. I generally like to get into my yard and hit for 20-40 minutes here and there (work from home) so quick set up is critical and Skytrak+ was always a little finicky. As for data, minimally need accurate ball with spin, spin axis, launch angle and launch direction so I can infer club data, but accurate club data itself would be great too. I’ve been leaning toward a BLP with either Ball only or ball and club, but I’m not super pumped about their $500/year to use a very basic interface on iPad (if I choose to do so). Also considering Eye mini (hoping they go on sale again in September but doubt they will) or Garmin R50 (but pricier and not sure about accuracy). Also thought about just doing a MLM2Pro if it’s ’good enough’ but would probably burn through a new box of RPT balls every month or two with it being in the back yard. For any BLP users, have you used the FSX iPad app and how quick and easy is it to get set up for each session over Bluetooth? likewise for Eye Mini users, how quick and easy to set up with an iPad if I want to use their practice/sim app? Generally I would just be using their on-device screen only for LM data on these which will feel like a MAJOR upgrade over Skytrak+ for how I want to use it. If it’s easy to set up with an iPad for practice/sim apps then it’s a big bonus. What do you all think? What would you do? Thank you!
  21. I haven’t hit Cobra 3DP and I’m sure it’s great but I think it’s a bigger head, more like the 245? Plus the lofts a quite a bit stronger so it’s a different profile head. I’m probably going to test the S3 in the next month or so even though I love my Wilson MBs. The S3 look so good.
  22. that was my thought as well, but I think AGN their measurements for performance based on mm and not % off middle. I'm also guessing based on the stock shaft choice that the S1 heads will weigh 3-5g heavier than S3, which are rather light for a forged one-piece head. Golfworks/Maltby says the S3 6 iron is 256g which is on the light side. But a lot of recent Mizunos have been in that range.
  23. Only other ones you possibly add would be 243 and Wilson MB/CB. S1 actually performs quite well (surprisingly?) off the toe in the askgolfnut database. S3 would be one of the worst for a toe miss.
  24. LA golf are probably the closest in terms of handle stiffness
