  1. Hey all just wanted to share a nice story that happened to me today. John Ortega is a PGA Professional from California, Putting Lab Coach, Putter Builder / Partner's with late great Bryon Morgan, and Jake Knapp's Coach from Jakes childhood. There's quite a few video's on You Tube. When Jake Knapp first came on the PGA scene I really liked his swing, game and story, from Junior Golf to PGA. ( Great Story ) So I searched high and low and found This Putter, now after very little success learning anything about it I was able to send John Ortega an e-mail asking him to call me and give me the Story on these Putters. John Ortega called this morning and told me he made 43 of these in 2023, they were all CnC machined from 1 pc billet Stainless Steel. John said they Retailed for $800.00 and he had approx. $500 in them as cost. So after our conversation I feel very fortunate & Lucky to still own ( I tried to sell here once ) such a nice putter with an amazing back story. Going back a few more years John Ortega was business partners with Byron Morgan and if you research the web you can find all the details but he was the John in John Byron putters, which also interests me since they had a long relationship and made many putters together. So after our phone conversation this putter is going to the front of my display where I intend to game and display this thing for many years, and I want to thank you golfing God's for finally smiling down on me with such good news and great story, one I'll enjoy for many many years. Thanks I thought some of you might enjoy this read. Rich
  2. I just pulled a set of Tour Velvet 360, and replaced them with Golf Pride MCC Standards, this Solvent gun worked perfectly. I highly recommend it for anyone that removes & installs grips. Great item that makes the task easier for sure. Thanks
  3. Thank you, it's Carbon Damascus and fantastic. Dan did such a great job with this putter, it sits so well behind the ball, has an unbelievable feel & sound, rolls the ball perfectly, and is simplictically perfect. Oh and it does what every great putter does, puts the ball in the hole when I do my part. Thanks

  5. I received mine a week or so ago, and this is just what I needed, I can pull & install grips so much cleaner & faster, anyone that changes and installs grips would benefit from these great Solvent guns.
  6. I've tried both and they play a lot differently, for me the Modus is much smoother with a little more feel and if you have Lag ( load ) or slight hesitation at the top the Modus is very hard to beat. The Project X seems suited for a more aggressive swinger, someone who really likes to go after the ball, but much smoother than the OG Blue label just not quite a Modus 120 Good luck, the Project X Red Label is a very good shaft and welcomed upgrade to the OG Blue, or smooth swingers.
  7. From a tinkerer to another, stick with what is working and spend your free time and effort playing the game of golf. I went down the rabbit hole of club building, it started out harmlessly then escalated to almost obsession, and over the last few years I have spent almost 70K on every sort of equipment, irons, Drivers, Fairways, Putters, etc. now yes I have had some success and yes learned a lot ( priceless ) but thinking back if I would have spent my time focusing on the game of golf it might have been more effective. At my age and place in life I was able to do this without effecting anything or anyone, meaning it became my hobby and consumed a lot of time & money, thankfully I'm at a place in my life I'm able to do it without harm to myself or anyone so I consider it a life's learning lesson. There is no doubt you can gain performance by switching equipment, but so many times we wind up chasing the perverbial unicorn which does not exist. One thing I have learned is the average golfer does not spend enough time practicing, we can learn a lot about our equipment by practicing. There is a great video of Johnny Wunder getting fit by the Titleist guys, it's a great watch and there's a lot to learn from the video. Best of luck, and good luck if you decide to go down the rabbit hole.
  8. Left dots & ST-Z What would you take for both of these shipped to Indiana 47711

Also what shaft did you use in the driver? How well does the driver perform and it's characteristics? I've never hit or played one even though I play MP20 Irons.

I have a little situation though, we are leaving tonight for Disney World and will be back Sunday night so if we make a deal I need to ask to have you wait to ship until Thursday or Friday , our son will be here over the weekend and we will be back Sunday

    Thanks Rich
