  1. Funny how I had the opposite reaction. I’ve played Sonar wraps for 6 years, but had to grip a new wedge and tried the Revl Smooth. I like the way it looks and feels. Reminds me a little of some wraps Lamkin made years ago. Feels like good quality. I haven’t hit, but will test this weekend.
  2. I’ve used Iomic putter grips off and on for 20 years. I recently purchased a putter when in Tokyo that had Iomic Standard size putter grip but completely different feel than what I’ve bought in the past from Iomic’s US website. It’s slightly tackier and softer. The same shape as size, but feels very different. I know there are Chinese fakes on eBay, but I expected Iomic USA store to sell same quality as in Japan. Does anyone know if US market just gets an inferior Iomic product?
  3. I just purchased a MA3 21A2S version in black boron while in Tokyo recently (will post a review shortly). Without a doubt as fine of quality and design as any putters I’ve had (and I’ve owned most brands over the years). Makino is producing some exception designs and finishes. Plus unique, very solid feeling.
  4. I’ll post a full review when back from my trip, but found a Makino putter at Double Eagle Golf in Ginza (Tokyo). Just an amazing putter line as I tried half dozen models before settling on one. They also have lots of wedge heads and may go back to buy either the new ProtoConcept or Artisan. Also some Elite putter grips I’ve not seen in US, a different tacky compound.
  5. Having owned several Swag’s over the past 5-6 years, the quality and performance both are impressive. Very high-end milling capabilities, great feel and performance. Plus their headcovers are the best quality made. I hope they’re not slowing down with innovative designs. I just saw some limited edition 1 of 1’s in Seoul as great as any custom Cameron, Bettinardi, Mills or Toulon.
