  1. Why is it a 2 stroke penalty ? Why not one?
  2. The problem is having 150 golfers on the course at 1 time is impossible.
  3. I'm starting to understand the argument for shotgun starts
  4. Anyone with an Asian wife is not surprised by this.
  5. You should see the product placement props on OnlyFans. 😍
  6. Are these R&A TV announcers full time announcers on a weekly basis? They're awful.
  7. That's going to depend on your definition of influencer. I do believe some online coaches with YT content can provide value to viewers. It might be extremely limited compared to an in-person lesson, but if you can't afford lessons then YT videos are probably better than nothing. Does J Smith at AskGolfNut count? I think some people can find value in his content. His information might not lower your HC but it might save you time and money when making equipment decisions.
  8. You have to gross like $600k to buy a $2.5 million house. Owning a $2.5 million house says very little about one’s income or wealth.
  9. I doubt many people know how much he makes. There's way too many variables to consider. He could actually be losing money producing content. Many influencers do.
  10. Last time I posted in an Open thread I got suspended 2 weeks. Can't risk it again.
  11. Is there somewhere on the internet I can watch it for free? I promise to stop posting if you find me a feed.
  12. Not to mention, successful producers don't always own their content outright. Many have to sell off some or all of the rights in order to get funding for production. Sometimes the person you assumes owns the channel is really just an employee on salary.
  13. Actually I'm a very immature 43. Thank you for asking. Like I said earlier, I've never watched any GH content so I have no opinion on the content itself. I'm strictly stating the fact that GH videos got more views on average after he starting collaborating with people more famous then himself. In my opinion, those celebrities will eventually look to be compensated for their time if they haven't already. I'm skeptical of people's popularity sustaining, especially as it relates to YouTube, because of the algorithms these sites use to attract an audience. If you watch a video on YT then YT's algorithm will recommend similar content to you going forward. Which is great(?) if you have an unsatiable appetite for the same content, but if you're anything like me, you get burnt out very quickly watching the same thing over and over. I like content that feels fresh, new, and different. This is one of the few reasons why I don't find golf influencer content entertaining. Content creators see which videos perform the best and beat that idea to death. It gets old quick. (By the way, this isn't exclusively a YT issue. Movie studios have been doing it for decades. It's just gotten a lot worse lately. See Disney, Marvel etc.) Another reason I don't find golf influencer content on YT entertaining, and this is just personal, is because I don't like watching people act like fools, being awkward, or being disingenuous. I'm 43 with 2 young kids and a job. I don't have time to sit through slop so I have to be a little more discerning with my content consumption choices.
  14. Don't come at me like I ain’t got a fully functioning frontal lobe and an internet connection. 5 of the last 6 videos GH posted involved either a tour professional or Saquon Barkley. Not a sustainable recipe. 2 years ago and before he started collaborating with PGAT and LIV golfers GH’s videos were averaging 300k views. He needed SS to reach the 4 million views he got. If you come at the king you best bring facts.
  15. I heard they’re considering inviting him to play in The Open now and letting him film it. That man is playing 13d chess. Art of the Deal!
  16. The RS part makes sense, but having 2x your subscriber count watch your videos seems really odd. Is that common?
  17. If I’m the PGAT and I’m looking to start/expand my social media presence I’d probably take a chance on Kisner and/or Paddy H before paying an influencer. That’s my idea. Don’t even think about stealing it.
  18. Since this topic has already been beaten to death I’m going to go off at a tangent. Something seems suspicious about GH’s video views. Some of his videos have way more views than he has subscribers while most of Rick Schiel’s videos have way less views than he has subscribers. What’s going on there? Are other channels promoting GH videos? Is he just way better at marketing his videos? Something is off but I don’t want to accuse someone of something I don’t fully understand yet.
  19. I said it earlier, I think the tours will either onboard some of these influencers or invest in their channels in partnership. I think it could workout for all involved. I think most of the golf influencers will be left behind and struggle.
  20. I've never watched anything GH has made and I don't have a problem with creators getting paid. My argument is the PGAT is making its members famous and GH's best performing videos are the one's starring those members. (the Scottie Scheffler video is his most viewed video ever). His videos without celebrities do not perform well. He is reliant on tour golfers and celebrities and they will be looking to get paid if GH is raking it in with content they appear in. The PGAT isn't likely to let this continue for much longer.
  21. The tours aren't getting that much out of it. That's been my argument the whole time. Those players are either getting paid or will be looking to do so if GH is really making money hand over fist. Last I check, pro golfers car about getting paid for their services. Full Swing was good. Didn't feel corporate at all. TV shows that don't have a corporate feel get produced all the time. Why trust someone else if you can control the content yourself?
  22. It got this far because the son of a Barracuda Networks Executive is a huge GH fan. (Probably)
