Really nice set of irons @McSquiggles. For a brief time I owned these (below) - a MacGregor Japan forging as rare as rocking horse poop. When I first posted this pic below (Jan 2023) some of the more knowledgeable forumites said they were reminiscent of the VIP Limited irons. Probably should have kept them...

Not a recent pickup, I bought this a couple of years ago from a council tip shop. The putter had a rusted shaft, so I biffed the old shaft and it is now on the shaft of (of all things) a Ping Eye 2 3w. Anyway, after a couple of years of thinking it was bronze, I recently decided it was brass - so I decided to give it a polish. Looking at the pic on the bottom right, I can see it still needs a bit more work, but I am pleased with the results so far.
