  1. Yeah it’s been a clunky rollout but what they are doing makes way more sense. The JPX tour never made any sense being in the JPX lineup and matching the 241 to the 245 was also pointless since noone really combos those. Now they will have three distinct product lines that make sense.
  2. PE definitely does not only invest in struggling businesses. There is really not much difference between selling equity to a PE or a VC, a VC will just offer you less money. LAB definitely has a ton of orders but at the end of the day a boatload of cash is a boatload of cash. I do agree that it is unlikely PE ownership improves quality at all though.
  3. It’s like buying a shirt without trying it on. It’ll be in the ball park but probably not a perfect fit. If you know that shaft works for you that is a good start though.
  4. That’s what they have announced. The signature line will only be refreshed every 4+ years though.
  5. The new mizuno pro lineup to be announced this fall will have replacement irons for the 243 and 245. The signature line is on a separate release schedule so noone knows when the S2 and S4 will be announced.
  6. The AI smoke irons are by no means a small or compact iron, and the fact that they are more compact than the G430 could very well be the reason you make better contact with them. As long as you are getting results you are fine to pull the trigger on them. You will quickly get used to the size. If it really hangs you up then do another fitting and explore the game improvement/players distance category more instead of super game improvement. Maybe there is something that performs similar but fits your eye at address better. I would definitely not get the g430 just because you like the look.
  7. What kind of forgiveness are you seeking? Front to back dispersion, toe/heel miss, thin/fat miss, pure distance, etc.?
  8. That would be the P grind or M grind depending on what loft/bounce you want.
  9. Yeah definitely tough to wait til the season is over but I need to see what the new 243 will be since it will probably have the best blend of tech and feel. Hoping to combo that with the S4 eventually but we will see, could be 1-2 years down the road for that one.
  10. Lol for sure. I like the Sonars because the fingerprint texture was so good when wet. Hopefully the REVLs are just as good.
  11. How are the REVL Comforts when they get wet? I remember the CP2 wraps were awful if your hands were wet or oily.
  12. I play 243s as well and T1 wedges. If you play a 243 PW you will likely have no issue playing T1 wedges. I preferred the T1 over T3 when I demoed them.
  13. Idk how you got 200rpm backspin on a drive but that is incredible lol. Not sure these numbers will be all that helpful if you got tired out after hitting 100+ drives? I think any of these drivers would be just fine for you, I would just pick whichever felt the best and hit it again focusing on shaft selection and loft/hosel adjustment.
  14. The T100 is their third most Players-like iron after the mb and cb, which havent been refreshed in many years. I also am very interested in what they have cooking with the S2 and S4 as I would consider comboing but from a business perspective I understand why they are doing a slow rollout. The signature line wont exactly be a cash cow for them relatively speaking, so it would be hard to roll out four new irons all at once on top of the other lines they have.
  15. The signature line is on a completely different timeline than their other lines. Comparing them to Srixon/Titleist is also funny because neither released blade-like offerings with the rest of its line. So you are essentially punishing Mizuno for expanding their fully forged lineup when Titleist and Srixon have deprioritized theirs. Srixon only has 4 iron models and Mizuno has 8 (most likely 10 once the signature line is fully released).
