  1. Spent the winter down in Florida, and when I got back to NY in the spring, my putting went cold. The Spider X1 (34.25") just wasn’t behaving. So naturally, I went down the rabbit hole… First was the Odyssey DB Mini Jailbird. Then came the Scotty Phantom 5. That turned into a Newport 2, then the 1.5, then an Odyssey 7S. From there I bounced to the Phantom 5.2, then back to a GOLO S… you get the idea. Eventually I circled back to the Spider X1 — and that’s when it hit me: maybe it wasn’t the arrow, it was the Indian. But after all that, I realized the real issue… the putter was a half-inch too long. Simple as that. Once I trimmed it to the right length, the Spider X1 instantly felt like an extension of my hands. The feel, the balance, the forgiveness — nothing else came close. I’ve been playing golf for 30 years, and I can honestly say: The Spider X1 is the best putter I’ve ever used. It’s deadly on short putts, stable as hell on long ones, and somehow gives you that confident blade-like feedback without punishing mishits. Just an absolute weapon.
  2. Wild turkey and Bally are both great courses. We go every year for a few days and IMO Wild Turkey is more difficult than Bally. Bally has larger greens and wide fairways. Turkey is more of a dramatic course with elevation changes to their holes and the greens tend to be a little more difficult. That being said Bally is 100% better golf experience, probably one of the best "links" style courses without going to a true links course. Wild Turkey sits at the resort too so it has that resort golf feel. But I agree if I'm making the trip- Bally all the way.
  3. This is the trickiest spot I have been in for some 5 years now with all the new tech coming out. I struggle with 230-245 number. I have tried multiple different shafts/head combos. My favorite as of now is actually a 913H 19* with a ventus blue HB Velocore 9x shaft, a u500 3 iron ( the new utility irons are so chunky looking and have a weird offset to them). Ive tried the 7 wood and I love the height and the stopping power but when the wind gets gusting I was struggling with controlling the spin. Definitely want to grab one with maybe a ventus red shaft and see if I can get it cooking.
  4. I agree 75-90 degrees with a good breeze is perfect . Heat stroke is no joke. I was very close last week. Golf in the warm weather is so much more enjoyable. Dont even mind a light rain as long as its not cold rain hahaha
