  1. Generally speaking, I think I would want the shafts to support my swing tempo. I would consider my tempo as "aggressive" (in lieu of smooth). All my clubs have stock shafts in them. For my driver, I did try the Ventus Blue Velecore+ (stiff). It did not work out well. That's probably more of a "me" problem.
  2. Hey everyone, So I finally ate a piece of "humble pie" and decided to record both my iron (8I) and driver swings for requesting corrections. Below is some of my personal feedback (note: not saying it is correct). Let the praise / roasting commence. Iron Swing - what I like - where I am positioned behind the ball - improving the straightness of my lead arm (trust me. It was really bad when I first started.) - improving the "tucking" of of my trail arm (again, trust me. It was all over the place when I first started.) - starting the weight transfer to the lead foot right before I start my downswing - use of wrists as a power generator Iron Swing - what I don't like - in my back swing, I am trying to keep my lead knee pointed towards the ball. I still have tendancies for it to "tuck in" too much. - still "casting" my wrists a bit too early - the "chicken wing" in my lead arm near the end; I have tried everything (stretching, mobility. weightlifting, etc). I just cannot seem to keep that arm straight througout the entire swing. Drive Swing - what I like - where I am positioned behind the ball - tiling my trail hip towards the target - keeping rear back (to prevent early extension) Driver Swing - what I don't like - something about my shoulders look off; can't quick put my finger on it - rotation; it is really hard for my to separate my upper body from my lower body - unlike my Iron Swing, weight transfer is a problem - as I start the downswing, I'm not shallowing as much as I would like - again, the "chicken wing" in the lead arm 2025.07.25 Iron Swing.mp4 2025.07.25 Driver Swing.mp4
  3. Hey everyone, I've given some thought about golf shafts, both for the woods and irons. One of my immediate thoughts is, I "only" get to play a total of 8 times a month (4 range sessions, 2 Par-3 rounds, 2 regular rounds). In my (potentially ignorant) opinion, I would think I am more of a glorified weekend warrior. With all of that being said, based on my rate of play, is investing in aftermarket shafts that much worth if I am not playing all that much at this time? Thanks a bunch.
  4. Piggy-backing on this thread; my current irons have the Dynamic Gold 95 S300. In my experience, the trajectory goes no higher than mid-height, and there is a lot of runoff / development upon initial landing. I do not mind this for my moderate irons (5I-7I), but this causes problems for my scoring irons (8I-PW). I've been working on my irons' swing speed to be in the consistent high 80s. Judging from this thread and from the link / screenshot below, it looks like I may want to consider the KPS Tour Light in the Regular flex. Thoughts? https://kbsgolfshafts.com/products/tour-lite
  5. Hey all, For starters, I'd like to thank @Srixon / Cleveland Golf for releasing such great irons. I wish I could say I swung it well this fitting, but it was not my best day. A combination of leaving my golf shoes in the rain and my lower back feeling stiff this morning did not help matters. Also, as a side note, I hate Georgia weather during the summer. Swinging the clubs, I found the ZXi5 to not be the best fit for me. In actually, I hit the ZXi4 better, but I am not sure if it is worth investing in at this time. This is not to say my current irons (PXG Gen 7 0311 XP irons) are better than Srixon, as those irons will probably not be great for me as I continue to become a better ballstriker. All that to say, today's fitter agreed that, once my technique get better thoughout the future, the ZXi4 may be a good future investment. In the meantime, I may just research this forum and see if I can just replace the shafts of my current irons with ones that promote more of a high launch (at least in the scoring irons).
