I like the PXG Extreme balls - they made the Golf Digest Gold List and offer them for $27.99 per dozen. They have a Tour Ball and an X version to compete with Pro V1 and Pro V1X at about 1/2 the price. I play the regular Extreme ball and love it. It feels good, spins good on the greens, and doesn't scuff too easily. They're worth a shot if you can't justify spending $55 a dozen. My HDCP fluctuates between 17 and 20, so a Pro V1 isn't going to help me that much and I've played AVX, which is a great ball but costs as much as a Pro V1. For the money, the PXG Extreme is a no-brainer. Honestly, I'm 100% in on PXG - I love their fitting system and customer service. Plus, they have the Hero's Program for Military Veterans and First Responders. Excellent discounts and top quality equipment. I'm on my second set.
