Depends if you want quiet with limited options (away from city) or more To Do options (in city). It shouldn't be a problem to find a suitable hotel in & around city and/or the course (look east of I-65 and inside I-265). MANY great restaurants scattered around L'ville. Downtown stay options are good for several bourbon tours, L'ville Slugger, etc. NULU has growing dining & nightlife, Bardstown Road north of Waterson Expressway has has good dining & eclectic options. Further out is for sleeping.
