  1. This has been the rotating spot in my bag, but since I picked up a 21* Apex UW, I seldom take it out of the bag. Depending on the course, I previously swapped between a 20* U505 utility, Tour Edge C722 19* hybrid, or Mavrik 5w 18*. The UW is a great fit for this spot in my bag and keeps the flight lower than the 5wd (or a 7wd) but gives me the control of the u505 on tee shots. It may fly a bit lower than the hybrid, but it fits what I was looking for in a transition club quite nicely,.
  2. I wipe my shoes with the same soapy water I clean my clubs with and they clean up nicely! I forgot to mention that in my post - super impressed with how bright the white is staying thus far.
  3. Good morning, I’ve had 4-5 rounds in the shoes since my last post, so I wanted to provide and update and further observations. I could not be more pleased with the fit and comfort of these shoes for MY foot. I get that this is very personal depending on your foot, but these are a home run for me. I have experienced zero discomfort throughout my rounds, and while most of my recent golf has been on a cart, I try and do a fair amount of walking between shots to clear my head and keep the blood flowing. As @player922000 alluded to above, the grass PACKS into the molded outsole and around the spikes. That said, I only had one round where slimy tee boxes affected my traction. They clean out easily after the round and really don’t have an impact on traction for as bad as it looks. On Friday we played on a course that really should have been closed due to the amount of mud and standing water. I am pleased to say that my feet remained completely dry in these shoes despite feeling like I was walking through rice paddies on some holes. As for performance gains, that has been difficult to determine since my SS has some variation depending on the day and how efficient I am swinging. That said, I have been driving the golf ball very consistently and I do feel incredibly stable on the tee most days. Whether that is the shoe, the evolution of my swing work and mechanical practice, or a combo of both, is the difficult to tell. What I can say is that if the durability proves to be as good as the rest of my experience thus far, my next pair of shoes will be Sqairz instead of my tried and true Ecco’s.
  4. I worried about the same when I swapped my 5 iron for a hybrid, but the addition of a 19 Apex UW in the 3 iron/5 wood slot solved the issue for me. I can flight that thing down so well it has become my go to option for punch outs and other low bullet shots.
