  1. Or Phil if he did it after losing a US Open?
  2. Yikes, I'd hit that straight into the ground.
  3. Strange. I find my 11 (9) wood much easier to hit from the rough than a 4 or 5 iron. I guess that's why they make an assortment of clubs.
  4. You could very well be right. I just always feel like a club that is more upright promotes a steeper path, but what you feel isn't always reality.
  5. If you feel like the length of your backswing is causing an outside to in swing path, it is probably because you are losing your spine angle at the top of your swing due to lack of flexibility. This almost always gets you across the line and causes an out to in path. Try to focus on your spine angle and stop your backswing when you start to feel it change. I am tall and have a very long swing, but fortunately I am also still pretty flexible. I've tried to shorten it over the years, but it doesn't really provide me any improvement so I just go with the long swing.
  6. My thought was that a more upright lie angle would cause a steeper swing....but I could be wrong. I'm definitely not a fitter. From my personal experience I tend to get steeper with hybrids, but that could just be me.
  7. Another thing to keep in mind is that hybrids are generally more upright than irons. That can change your swing path.
  8. Can you imagine doing that as a guest of someone at Oakmont?
  9. Agreed. He is going to continue to act like a child until he learns there are consequences to his actions.
  10. Oxyclean makes a liquid that you pour in with the wash. It works great for overall whitening. I use Dawn Powerwash dishwashing soap on my collars. Nothing works better for taking the stain out.
  11. Finally, Oakmont doing the right thing. It should be a ban for life!
  12. I played the Ridge at Castle Pines several years ago. It was a great layout and in wonderful condition. Don't know if it still is or not, but I suspect it would be worth a look.
  13. I remember it clearly. It was a sad day. It came down to Watson's nemesis, the 5-6 footers. He always seemed to struggle with that length of putt.
  14. There are "fitters" and there are fitters. If you decide to go to one, ask around and make sure you find a reputable fitter. Lot's of people call themselves "fitters" now that are just there to sell you clubs.
  15. The Callaway Paradym AI Smoke or AI Smoke HL might be worth a look. I hit the AI Smoke once and it's a nice feeling iron. If you don't mind used, there are a lot of sets on callawaygolfpreowned.com.
  16. I would say you are on to something there. I'm sure it will suck. Movies like this only work once.....the film industry can't get that through their heads.
