Played ping g430 LST for a good bit, paired w/ tensei orange 65x, low launch and rel low spin shaft- i've lost club head speed over the past 3 yrs or so- bought a g440 max head- wow the forgiveness is real-however, launches too high but im hitting more fairways- using ventus blue tr 6-s and GD AD-VF 6-s in it. Ventus TR 6-s feels great but again too high, dialed head down from 10.5 to 9.0 (-1.5). I think the ADVF is a better fit, but don't quite like the the feel as much. My SS is 105-108 on avg- I'm a ho so i bought a Cally Elyte triple diamond 9.0 head and using the Ventus blue 6-s-very long and perfect window I'd say, but I miss the forgiveness of the g440 max. Enter the Gt2 9.0 head w/ ADVF 6-s. Launches a bit lower than I'd like, and i haven't unlocked this head w/ this shaft for me, probably too low launching for me and harder to load maybe. My question is whether one goes with a LST head and gets a higher spin shaft w/ higher launch or max forgiveness head (g440 max) and tries to lower the ballflight and spin with the shaft, say Ventus black, etc? My option is whether to get a 9.0 head g440 max or try a G440 LST head w/ current ventus blue TR 6-s.
