Went shoe shopping today...

Had the intention of getting the DNA's, but decided to try a few different shoes...here are my thoughts:

 

Footjoy DNA's- great looking shoe and really comfortable. The split toe isn't as bad in person as I thought it would be...overall nice shoe. Problem is that the toe is SO long. I like my shoes to fit snug and even sizing down didn't help here, it's a good 1/2" to 1" too long.

 

Footjoy Dryjoys Casual- Thought I would really like these but they didn't do it for me in person. A little clunky...

 

Adizero One- This shoe shocked me, I have commented a few times on here about how I didn't like the design from the pictures. I have worn AdiPures for years and went to the first Adizero's until the cleats ripped out, and was really excited about this release until I saw the pics. In person this shoe looks really good...still can't get with the blue or grey/ orange, but the white is really nice. Ended up getting these because you just can't beat the weight and comfort the Adizero's provide. The Ones have more padding in the right areas and feel like a sock. Total surprise, but a pleasant one nonetheless.

 

My advice...if you have been an Adidas guy that was turned off by the design of the shoe in pictures, go check the shoe out in person. You might just be as shocked as I was.

Had the exact same experience with the DNAs. Even after sizing down, there was still a good amount of extra length - and I have narrow feet. Glad to hear that you got along well with the Adizeros.

It's crazy how long the DNA's are. I have at least 3-4 pairs of 12 wides in various kinda of shoes and these were massive! I now have tried on 11 wides and I think that is the right size. Very strange, the oddest sized shoes of any kind I've seen.

Aren't the Footjoy Icons kind of the same way? The toe is longer and has more room in comparison to the Dry Joy Tours.

Yes, but the Icon doesn't have as boxy and elongated toe as the DNA. I noticed this with guys wearing the DNA on tour but thought maybe they wore their shoes a little bigger than I like...nope, that toe is just LONG.

I've played 36 in my DNA's and love them. I usually wear 13 wides in just about anything, but the regular width was perfect in the DNA's. Maybe that explains why I haven't noticed or felt the toe was weirdly long.

This is the first FJ shoe I have considered since the 90s. Might be waiting to see the TW15s before I buy anything

I noticed the same with the DNA's. I usually wear a 9 in Adidas and 8.5 in FJ. Tried on an 8, and it still felt long.

The new Adizero's felt great. Probably going with those, or Eccos. I have enough golf shoes as it is.

I'm an Adidas guy and have worn the tour 360 the past few years and I'm a size 9 and when I went to try on the Adizero's I felt they were a lot longer then the tour 360's. I did like the way they felt and being so much lighter but I also like a tighter fit so I went back and got some more tour 360's. I also like the look of the tour 360's vs. the Adizero's.

I'm the exact same size, I even asked if the shop had a 7.5! I just don't understand the idea behind the shape of the DNA's...everyone I see wearing them looks like they bought a shoe 2 sizes too big. Regardless, I love the new Adizero's...fits like a glove and much more comfy than the first edition.

Too funny regarding the DNA's. I could not get a size to feel "right". They all felt too long.

I'm looking at the new Adidas Pures, but not sure that is the direction I want to go.

Haha! There's about 10 active threads on coordinating outfits with shoes and brands, the GolfWRX community likes to look good!
