How will this compare to the original Fubuki Tour shaft?
Better later than never, right? Good Question, the Original FUBUKI TOUR was replaced by the FUBUK K. So in comparison, the FUBUKI J will launch higher than the original FUBUKI Tour but spin about the same. The biggest change is the extreme balance point provided by the Tungsten Resin System--- we are seeing SW move 2.5-3.0 al things being equal.

after doing a lot of research on the ZT...although each Fubuki has diff bend profiles, I was told that the ZT would perform similar to the Alpha with maybe a little lower flight and much better dispersion.

So would the J be an improved K then? At some point they need to rename these shafts if they perform differently.
The J is a great compliment to the K. The launch is similar to Alpha with a spin rate closer to K-Series. The J will replace the Alpha on tour although they are not the exact same profile.

Man, its getting hard keeping track of MRC offerings with all the Fubuki and Diamana iterations!
I know! I am all for brand recognition but this is starting to get confusing.
Understood! Let me see if i can help..... The FUBUKI lineup will be simplified in the coming months.

The NEW FUBUKI J and the current K Series are our most premium FUBUKI Profiles made out of Japan and carry an MSRP of $400. They will be the focus for the FUBUKI brand on tour going forward and give us a nice High and Low launch option for the brand. They also come in XX so again provide the most options for Tour.

This J series is a not a replacement nor an improvement to any of the FUBUKI line. J series is unique to it self, especially those tungsten powder mixed in the butt section which made this shaft the most counter balance shaft to provide a heavier head set up. Again, J will also fly a hair higher ball flight compare to the ZT.

No words yet that i know of on the hybrid line!

I will post when I do!

Joe, how is it compared to Fubuki K in terms of feel, spin and launch?
Please read my previous posts again, you'll find the answer.

When is the release date on this line
Officially will not be release this year in the US...but it'll be available in small batch through selected dealers like me.

Thanks Joe. The Hybrid idea is being "tossed around". Thanks for the post!

The K felt absolutely NOTHING like the Fubuki Tour.

I still love the Tour 73 but hated the K 70. Not sure how MRC thinks they were similar shafts.

To be more clean the original TOUR and the K-Series had similar bend profiles. However, with the addition of the P.N.C. Metal Mesh into the butt section of the K-series this shaft may "feel" more stable, solid, or rigid depending on the player. I would suspect that is what you are experiencing --- both are great shafts! Thanks the feedback and comments.

I recently got fit for the new J series in my 915 D3 - 44.5" I have always been a fan of the Fubuki line since it first came out. I don't pretend to be any kind of expert. I make my choices based on feel and let the fitting professionals tell me if the numbers are good. I tried the Rouge, the Tour Green, and then the Fubuki J and the J gave me the best numbers and without a doubt had the best feel of the three. The new 915 with this shaft is a rocket launcher. Really looking forward to putting it in the bag ASAP!

I have a fubuki J 70x and it has been amazing so far! I would definitely liken the feel to the alpha with a little bit of a stiffer butt, seemingly due to the heavier butt section. I have been through all the fubuki line , yet wasn't a huge fan of the K. The J has by far been one of my favorite shafts that I have hit in a long time!

Count another fan for the J 60x. I had it in a SLDR and now going to try it in my Alpha. The shaft launches high, is stable, and just hits low spin bombs.

because of the shaft profile / how the shaft is build (extra tip stiffnes and stronger material), could tipping make it more "loose"? Sorry if this might be a dumb question...

I don’t think you are going to stiffen this shaft by tipping it. You will be cutting away some of the design. But I don't think you'd be making it loose either.

I have played the Tour, Alpha, and now the J. I think the J is by far the best shaft. It has a great feel. It is stable but yet not boardy nor too active, just stable. Anyone have it in a fairway wood? I tried the Alpha in my 3 wood but it just didnt work for me.

I think it is a very smooth but stable shaft. I always thought the Tour had a nice smooth feel to it as well. The J will have less spin than the Tour. J probably launches the same or slightly higher.

Having hit both. The tour was just getting very harsh and lost a lot of feel from the generations past. The J brings the feel back but keeps spin low:..
