If may be great.... It may be like 300 Part Two.... Effects driven, mindless, and just more of the same...

[/quote]Mindless is always good. Yep looking forward to Avatar 2 also. Just watched last week the latest Bruce Willis Die Hard in Russia Somewhere. Exact title eludes me. Pretty bad, but watchable. Don't think I have seen such a beginning with hundreds of vehicles smashed. Auto rates in Mother Russia skyrocketed.

I've seen my fair share of good/great films, but have been on the wrong end of many B, C, E rate films.

Here are 5 that I suggest you avoid:

1) The Mosquito (1995) - "Some mosquitos begin to feed from the alien's corpses, causing them to grow to the size of a vulture"
2) Bio Dome (1996) - I actually liked Pauly Shore, but even I struggled to stomach this film. "Moronic best friends get themselves locked inside the Bio-Dome"
3) Battlefield Earth (2000) - "7 years after the original Fortress movie, Brennick and his family are still on the run from the Men-tel corporation."
4) The Last Airbender (2010) - really liked M. Night Shyamalan's [i]The Sixth Sense[/i]. Not so much this 'gem' (or a few other of his flicks - Lady in the Water) "It is based on the first season of the Nickelodeon animated series Avatar: The Last Airbender."
5) Shark Attack 3: Megalodon (2002) - about as good as Mega Shark vs. Giant Octopus.

What do you rent on a cold night Direct?

I actually liked Battlefield Earth... It was ridiculous Sci-Fi nonsense... I dig SciFi nonsense...

As far as a cold night goes.... Wife digs action movies and comedies... We usually just find the latest action or comedy and dig down...

It also helps movie night when you have EVERY channel known to man on your TV...

John Travolta was awful in Battlefield. I don't mind ridiculous sci-fi when I'm in the right mood.

If you want to see a true C flick film find the Mosquito. That's one of the first movies my wife and I rented together back in the mid-90s. It is truly awful and my wife reminds me of the choice whenever I pick a dud. She chose Premonition (2007 - Sandra Bullock) which was also terrible so I remind her of that. She seems to like cheesy love stories and I am a sucker for action, zombie, and sci-fi flicks (no matter how terrible). It's a guilty pleasure on a quiet night. She's working tonight so I'm putting the little spud to bed and I'm going to eat Cheetos and watch a movie. Nothing chosen yet.

Now You See Me was surprisingly good... Hunger Games 2 was good... The Purge was good... The Lockup... Sly and Arnold at their WORST was hilarious... I love cheesy stuff

Watched Jackie Brown last night. Samuel L. was good in that also, like he is good in about everything he does. He is very watchable. And of course Dances with Wolves was on so hadn't sat through that in quite a while.....tonight it is just basketball, college.
