^^ come on man, not even going to reply to you, have a good day
dunno why the hate there, you're using woodlands swing as an image for what to do, similar to someone wanting to drop it more inside may picture sergios swing in their head etc, not copying it exactly. whatever works for u my friend, certainly some great angles at impact, looks really solid, great work!
Thanks. You would be surprised compared to old swing, not sure what I'm going to do about my lesson this friday yet, thinking of postponing. I really want to ingrain these new feels before I tweak anything. this guy is a short game wizard so that's always an option. I'm sure I will get good things out of the lesson so il probably just work all week ingraining muscle memory and them go to the lesson but il decide mid week if I'm going to push out the date.

I should remove those pic's now, Ive made a ton more progress with the work on my instructor. Alot of the feels I posted where only a starting point and dont use them anymore. I just fire from the top now. Whats weird is I get on the original shaft plane line so fast on the downswing, thats a rare thing which alot of the great ballstrikers did like hogan etc. The point of the thread remains though, EE is easy to get over, just work with a good intructor on fundamentals.

Try telling that to someone who can't do a deep squat.

From the TPI site:

The Body-Swing Connection

Physical Parameters Causing Early Extension and How to Diagnose:
In order to not early extend during the downswing several physical characteristics must be developed. First and foremost, research has shown that any limitation in performing a full deep squat or full hip bend can force a player to early extend during the downswing. Failure to perform these movements means generalized stiffness or asymmetry in the musculature and joints of the lower body. These limitations will always prevent a good address position and force players to alter their spinal posture throughout the golf swing. If the pelvis is unable to rotate around the lead hip due to joint or muscular restrictions then forward and lateral movements will dominate the pattern. Next, the ability to separate your upper body from your lower body allows the lower body to stabilize while rotating your shoulders through impact. Limited trunk to pelvis separation is usually caused by reduced spinal and rib cage mobility and shortened lat flexibility. Finally, the ability to stabilize your lower body is directly proportional to gluteal and abdominal strength and control of the pelvic musculature, which helps control the orientation and movement of the pelvis during the downswing. These muscles help prevent the lower body from thrusting towards the golf ball during the downswing.

yea of course there can be physical limitations. Im not the most flexible person in the world, Ive been stretching alot though. Working on fliexiblity is always a good thing. My point remains, A good instructor will be able to tell you if you are not flexible enough, you have to have pretty strong limitations to have it block you from fixing this issue.

btw quit trolling this thread, youve already had posts deleted. You argue with every point I make that EE can be overcome

As far as I am aware this is not a closed thread. People are entitled to contrary views. There are solid facts behind mine on this one.

I don't troll. One post was deleted. That is not "posts" plural. It was relevant. If whoever had deleted it had understood the content it would have been let stand.

The facts are:

For some, physical limitations make it impossible to fix early extension.

There are many things that may cause it
.
Fixing it is seldom easy and sometimes it doesn't need to be fixed.

Some of the fixes create other problems. One of which is evident in the image you posted of yourself.

You give people false hope by telling them it is easy. Even when the cause is identified it can be a long and hard track to fix it.

In short, In my opinion you are wrong.

I said it took me two years but needed to go to an in person instructor to help, never said it was easy. It's easy once you get it

There is hope, finally got rid of steep downswing and EE. Worked on this issue for a few years off and on and havent totally fixed it until now. When instructors tell you EE is caused from a steep downswing, they are 100% correct.
I can confirm that this is 100% not correct. Early extension or "humping the goat," is not only, and exclusively caused by a steep swing. I have a shallow swing that can tend to go majorly from in to out.

So I thought I would update! As OP stated EE is caused by a steep attack angle. As I agree but its also about not clearing hips (Monte talks about not getting things out of the way). So Crapula made some good observations and here is the results of my fix! Shooting much better scores lately, more confident strikes and more consistent strikes!

So this was one of my bad early extension days

https://www.youtube....h?v=tnDR1OsfDWU

and now a more recent fix (I think its getting better) LOL!!!

https://www.youtube....eature=youtu.be

couple things helped me fix this EE for me personally.

1) This video drill to get the feeling of dropping the left foot and clearing it and or straightening it (Getting it out of the way) https://www.youtube....h?v=37smm-wdTrY
2) Focus on maintaining spine tilt through the shot and not rising up.
3) Focus on rotating the hips and not sliding it forward. Really concentrating on getting the left side of the hips out and away from the ball keep the spin tilt and not moving the hips towards the ball like crapula stated!)
