JEckert07's WITB...Titleist and some Mizuno's

Alright guys, I have always enjoyed perusing the WITB threads and admiring fellow WRX members' weapons of choice so now it's my turn to put the cards on the table. As you will notice, my bag is slowly starting to evolve into an all Titleist advertisement. I never intended for this to happen, but from confidence with Vokeys came a Scotty purchase…from confidence with a Scotty came a 714 AP2 purchase…from confidence with the AP2's came a 913 D2 purchase, and so on...

 

So let's get right into it…For some reason I cannot get my pics to post right-side up so please turn your screen accordingly.

 

BAG: 2014 Titleist Stadry Stand Bag

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

IRONS: Titleist 714 AP2's w/ Nippon N.S. Pro Modus 3 Tour 120S shafts and white Golfpride Tour Wrap 2G grips

 

 

 

 

 

DRIVER: Titleist 913 D2 w/ Diamana D+72 S White shaft and red Golfpride NDMC grip

 

 

 

 

 

FAIRWAY WOOD: Taylormade R7 CGB Max 5 wood w/ Aldila RIP Phenom 80 S shaft…aka "Ol' Cherry Bomb"

No matter how many other fairway woods I have bought, Ol' Cherry Bomb just keeps making me put her back into play. Now a mainstay in my bag for 7 years, for some reason I just don't hit any other fairway wood as well as I hit this club…go figure.

 

 

 

 

 

PUTTER: Scotty Cameron California Del Mar w/ black pistolero grip

 

 

 

 

 

WEDGES: Vokey 56.11 spin-milled tour chrome and Vokey 60.08 spin-milled oil can

Forgot to take pictures of these, but am currently ordering new SM5's so I will update when those arrive.

 

So there you have it. If anything changes (more than likely) I will update with pics of the new additions. Feel free to ask any questions and form opinions of my game if need be!

Quick update…just added a set of Mizuno MP68's with KBS Tours. Hit them on the range today and loved them…not sure if they will kick my 714 AP2's out of the bag as my main gamers, but they will definitely get some play here and there. Beautifully crafted irons…here are some pics:

Not too many southpaws in Texas I reckon. I played hockey lefty since when I was 4 years old here in MN but never could find lefty sticks for the course across the park I grew up on. Sooooooo wish I could have been a lefty.

I have a buddy like that...played baseball lefty but learned how to play golf right-handed because he couldn't find any lefty clubs to practice with...

I was lucky enough to find some good GI Callaway irons when I was young to learn with, and now you get almost anything except most MIZUNO'S! Glad they threw us a bone with the MP68's though, always wanted some Mizzy blades...

Sweet bag. Love Titleist products. Just a classic, confidence-inspiring look. Stick with the Mizzy's, the feel is exceptional. But those don't look like Vokey's with them in the bag! I like the Titleist set up though. Solid sticks!

Thanks NW! Yea the MP68's are great, I played the 588 Forged wedges for a little bit but just couldn't break my Vokey habit. They're actually up for sale in the BST right now.

Thanks Nokester...I found the Modus 3's and KBS Tours worked best with the 714's. I would have been happy playing either shaft but decided on the Nippon's and couldn't be happier...deadly combination!

I was looking at some MP-19 and little did I know they were produced exclusively left-handed. You can get them for a nice price from time to time on eBay as a set that was originally MSRP of $1K

I've seen some awesome Del Mar refurbs KC...wish I could find some of those pics for you. Great putter, something about the weight of the Del Mar and the deep-milled face of this model just works extremely well. Good luck with the project, would love to see what you end up with!

Definitely one of my all-time favorite custom Del Mars...I actually had planned on changing all my original red lettering to green, researched how-to's until I felt like I was a pro, was on the way to pick up all the supplies and chickened out! Seeing this pic again has reignited the fire!

No, the acetone and paint thinner will just take off the paint in the areas you put it on...the finish won't be affected.
