New irons - Ping i25 v s55 v Anser?.. opinions.

I'm planning on getting fitted for one of the three sets mentioned. I've games i10s and s59's in the past and had great success with both. Who's tried these three sets and which did you end up opting for?

Once you get fitted you should know what you want to buy as all 3 are great irons. Asking on here your going to get so many different answers. I never hit the i25's played the 2nd Gen Ansers Loved them now playing the s55's. Just as easy to hit as the Ansers were but look and feel better. Playing the s55 and plan on sticking with them as they helped my club Ho'in. PING makes some great irons so good luck and be sure to let us hear what you went with.

All I can say is the S55 irons are super in every respect.

They all feel great, can't go wrong with any. With the Ansers, you're paying for the forging process. S55's will cost a little less and I think feel just as good.

I've asked my Pro to book me in at Ping Gainsborough UK fitting facility for a full fitting... That way I can get fitted for the best irons/shafts for me. I decided to go the full bag fitting so if I do decide to change any other clubs in my bag I will already know my spec. For example I currently have a Ping G25 driver with Fuji fuel Tour spec 60x and love it... The only issue is I hit it a mile high, low spin With big carry but i personally think the same shaft with a 8.5 would be a better for me, after the fitting I will know for sure.

I have owned and played The Current generation Anser's irons and wedges, I20's (similar enough to the I25's) and the every S series iron including the S55's

I'll keep this simple. Anser's, great club, however, the I and S series do everything the Anser's do for a lot less money. I went all in on the Anser's at the beginning of last season. I wanted to love them but for me they were ok, just ok.

I went back to the I20's while waiting patiently for the S55's to be announced. Sold the Anser's this spring. My I20's have found a permanent home in the backup bag. The S55's arrived during the dead of winter so far one round and a lot range time have confirmed that the 55's were worth waiting for.

Keep an open mind going into your fitting. The Anser's maybe the best club for you. It depends on you and what you're looking for.

Ihave owned I 20's and tested the 25's and S55'. The S 55s' were an easy choice for me. Love em.

What is the forgiveness difference in the s55's vs. the Anser irons?

Does someone with experience between all these sets believe there is a significant enough difference in terms of the forged feel in the Anser's to the cast S55's and i25's? Please let me know, thanks in advance!

Ansers can be had relatively cheaply on the bay and rival the s55 in performance with a forged feel. Heard wonderful things about the i25 but the delamination problem bothers me. I think the Ansers would be my choice.

While the Anser's are forged, the difference in feel compared to the S55's and I series irons is not significant.

After growing up playing forged Irons, I purchased the Anser's in hopes that they would give me a more forgiving iron and the forged feel. For me, the feel was just the same as a muscle back.

The forgiving nature of the S and I series coupled with the feel ended up being the clear winner. From there, looks become the deciding factor. The S55's (for me) provide the best blend of feel, workability and forgiving nature to fulfill my desire for blades.

The Anser's didn't.

Buy the S55. The i25 and Anser heads are too big, clunky.
