Finally got some time to get this together. Never seen this grip before. Apparently it's from an Odyssey Eye Trax Japanese putter. Reminds me of a Scotty Pistolero grip with some waffle texture.

I have a problem, but I bought another putter for a price I couldn’t pass up (even though I’m putting really well right now with my current gamer). It’s missing a screw, and the “polymer insert” aka Scotty’s bathroom caulk is needing replacement, but otherwise in really good shape for $150. I ordered some replacement screws off the ‘Bay and will replace the polymer fill in my shop.

Anser 4, 5, and a cushin with big z shaft. The cushin I got because my dad wanted me to build him something interesting and sorta similar to his Scotty fastback or my old flowback if possible..so I bought 2 cushins and matching vintage ping fuzzy putter covers. The anser 4 and 5 I can’t really justify, but I’m saying it’s because my wife needs to try some different putter options and those are sorta different from what I already have, and also will be fun collection pieces.

I really regretted selling this putter a while back. I’ve been waiting patiently for one to pop up in good condition without the price being too exorbitant. The beautiful PING TR Anser 1966. Arguably the most stable blade I’ve ever used. The TR grooves just flat out work.

Toulon Magnolia putter off the BST. Lovely putter. Minor ding on the top line. Couple of rounds with it and really enjoy the feel of the putter. Easier to align than I expected.

Really enjoying this Mizuno. Swing path is much better, hitting more putts, love the feel off the face. This one is staying in the bag for a long time.

Been wanting one for a while - when I saw a used one in excellent condition, I pulled the trigger.  Showed up wih plastic still on the grip & sole and looked brand new.  Still love my TM spider, going to try both for a while to figure out the gamer

Added some weight to get a similar head weight to previous putter.  A little different coming from an insert to a milled face but a big fan so far

A guy on the practice green had the Milled Proto and let me hit a few putts. Everything I like about the Spider but feels WAY better. 
 

I thought about running off with it, but overpaid for one on eBay instead. 😂
 

I hit the slant neck version of this putter so well. Have tried the proto version and it’s so nice! Enjoy that one! 
 

I like the tour-black finish too much to pass this up! Thinking about swapping shafts and changing the gray bombs to translucent black.
The milling sounds/feels and looks nicer than I expected. Can’t wait to play it.

Didn’t like the Jailbird in Sq2Sq, didn’t like it in the DB, so ordered it in a slant neck.

 

Had a very bad putting round last week.

Last week bought a used one of these, head was totally clean as if it had not been played maybe one or two times:

 

 

Someone had lengthened it to 38 inches, and put a SS Zenergy 3.0 grip on it with a counterweight.   I've been using a longer putter for over a year mostly (a lot with a Spider Tour CB 38), and they all seem to be on the heavier side.  This one since it was a stock 35 inches with an extension, plus the counterweight, makes the head feel lighter.   I wasn't sure about the feel off the face, it was just so so, but in the shop I was rolling it nicely.   First time on the practice green I thought, "this is going right back", but I gave it a second chance.   Glad it did. 

 

On Saturday I put it in the bag in our member-member tournament.  First day was a 2 man BB, I made more feet of putts in one round than I probably have in my 55 years of playing golf.   I would guess 175 feet, 25 putts total, and that counts 3 from just off the green.  Shot my career low round and my age, a 63, nine birdies, only one of which was a two putt.....  Day two I didn't putt any different than normal, but not bad.  I think I will keep it in the bag for a while.

Had been debating between this and the Jailbird.  Looks like I'll be testing both over the next few weeks.

I had the Sq2Sq Jailbird earlier this year, and I loved everything about it except the forward press.  Screwed up my aim something bad.

 

Was unsure if a press grip would have helped, so decided to sell it instead.  I play with a wide split grip, which did not seem well-suited to a forward-press putter.

I didn't just buy it, but I bought a Scotty Cameron Super Select Newport a couple months ago. I really liked this one because it didn't have an insert, nothing on the bottom, and had some red on the circles still.

 

I love the firm feel and weight of the putter. Sometimes I fight with it, but with practice I've had some really low putts out there with it (25 is my record).

 

I don't think I'd give it up any time soon. I've thought about getting a SuperStroke Pistol Tour grip, but gotta keep the original grip. Maybe a dancing Cameron grip would be cool too 🙂

 

Only thing I'd use instead right now is a Tour Rat 😅 Let me know if you wanna trade! 🤣
