After hitting it in the store for 3 weeks with the taylormade spider I got the odyssey versa 2 ball.
Both are very good putters.

Switched from an Odyssey Crimson Series 330 that I had been using for ~8 years to an Odyssey Metal-X #6 last week. Loving the fat blade with a plumber's neck hosel. Gets me right on top of the ball and rolls super smooth.

Don't mean to burst your bubble there Den but a few of those appear to be fakes. I can tell you right now that the industrial CT's are definitely fake - the upside down 'S' in USE is a dead giveaway; also the 'O' in TOUR should be tangent with the inner edge of the CT in the genuine article.

 

If you got them through the same dealer then they're likely all bogus... sorry :black eye:

Just got the Ping Anser milled 0 and it is amazing. I love the sound and the feel that it provides.

Yes, they are both the gun blue.

When did you send it in? Did you confirm they are doing the original finish? Gun blue/oil can is currently unavailable. BOM is what they're doing now apparently.

I asked the custom shop before I sent the putter to confirm that gun blue is still available and would be used for the restoration. They emailed back and said it was still available so hopefully it comes back with it as I did not specify on the order itself. I did also have an oil can classic done in the last 3 months and that finish was still available as well.

Murdered Napa is sick! Is that black or dark grey paintfill or did you leave it nude?

 

Also, if it is nude does the CS let you do that on a resto or do they deem that "customization"?

It's the original gun blue finish with all black paint fill. She's just so shiny that it's hard to tell. ;)

 

There is no option on their website to leave out paint fill. I'm not sure if a phone call to the CS would get you anywhere?

Phantom finish?

I went over there a few weeks back to see if they had any Bimini's in Tropical, but it looked like they only had Phantom left (which looks great as well, but I had my heart set on the Tropical look).

Just stainless. I believe they also had sterling finish in both Abaco and Bimini. Could be wrong. I have a Tropical finish in the Trinidad. It's tough for any of them to beat out my two bar center shaft. My Aussie may forever collect dust. LOL

Futura X Dual Balance... It looks just horrible, but I can't remember I've ever had as decent of a putting stroke than I did when trying this out. The ball actually rolled in the direction of the hole.
