Took the plunge on both versions of the grip. As the USGA took away my belly putter (not yet but why fight it) and I hate almost ever CB putter I've ever touched, I hope this will help get my hands in a more neutral position at address, which should hopefully in return, help square my entire body up. We shall see!

I just made the switch from a midsize putter grip to the g-pro edge and am very excited about my putting. Haven't been to the course but can already tell the grip has helped quiet my wrist. I use the standard overlap grip and didn't think there was a big adjustment with the g-pro edge. I think it'll feel natural after a couple days on the practice green. Hope it performs on the course as well as it feels inside.

Is the Edge model smooth all the way around the grip? Kinda like the scotty Cameron grips? I love that smooth feel all around, np but on the back of the Garsen I think I noticed some texture in the grip. Anybody with one can help me out?

Got my Edge yesterday, it does not have any texture of note. There are some little lines on the back side of the grip but they are nothing more than cosmetic as far as I can tell. Grip felt smooth all around.

I saw the small little lines and I know it probably helps with sweat and all, but I don't want it to take away from the smoothness of the grip. Can you see the lines in the picture?

In that picture it does look almost "sand paperesque" but its not in my opinion. To me the back side of the grip feels more like the top than, lets say, a tour velvet or something.

I found some of these grips on amazon for like $15. And on the Garsen website they are like in the $20-$30 range. Any problems with the Amazon listings? May just get it there

Tim over at Bellum Winmore was telling me about Garsen Grips. He said that they were really great grips and wanted me to come out and test out the the G-Pro Max. I've got a superstroke on my Bellum Winmore now. I'm excited to go out and check this grips out. After I get one on mine, I'll let everyone know what I think about them. But from the sounds of it, they sound like great grips that will help a lot of people.

Still trying to figure out where Stenson puts his left thumb. Almost looks like its on the rib. I tried it feels wacky.

GPRO1 have you found that with these grips there is an ideal length for the putter I know it depends on many variables. I'm 6' and usually play mine at 34". As much as I love the max grip and my setup I still feel like somethings missing.

I'm also 6' tall and have always putted with a 34' putter. I have many different putter style and lengths that I use as demos on tour. I putt with them all I have noticed I do have beer feel with putters that are 35' with the MAX grip for some reason.[/quote]

I bought GooseHook's grip and had it installed on a Bobby Grace that had a grip I couldn't stand before. At first, I had it installed normally with the ridge to the front. I absolutely hated it. I putted with it for about a half an hour at couldn't get the grip right at all. I was getting frustrated with it and just by happenstance I caught my putter 180 degrees from normal when twisting it one time. I really liked the way that felt and flipped the grip 180 degrees, so that's the way it is now. So far, I've only taken it out back to the green behind my house in dying light, but it feels pretty good and distance control is really good. Here's hoping this is a permanent change!

I'll say this... The longer you use it the conventional way the better it feels. I also tried installing it the way you're describing and I liked it, but ended up switching it back. There's no wrong way to use it though, so do what works the best for you. Sink em all my friend.

I recently acquired an Odyssey Havok after toying around with it in the shop. I currently game an Odyssey #5 CS Metal-X with the G-Pro Edge grip which has been in my bag since January. The Havok came with a Super Stroke slim 3.0 grip, so I thought I would give it try instead of installing a new G-Pro Edge right out of the gate. I played 2 rounds with it and my putting has never been worse. Could be the familiarity with the Edge grip over the last 7 months, but the Super Stroke was so dead feeling and my hands didn't really ever feel comfortable. On top of that, my distance control was shot as well. Blowing them way past the hole with the Super Stroke. Switched back to the ol' gamer and it was like night and day. I was rolling in 10-12 footers that I really just expected to lag close. Could be a psychological thing, could be familiarity with that particular putter/grip, but I'm a firm believer in Garsen after that experience. I've even had a few folks at the local par 3 ask me about my putting, to which my reply is just show them the grip and tell them where they can pick one up to try.

I'm still really liking the grip! Actually I don't ever think about it until I try another putter with some other grip on, and all other grips feel very weird to me now. I don't mind at all cause I can't see myself ever going back to anything else!

Looking forward to trying the Ultimate grip. I think it is the next step in Bernerds process. I t will be interesting to test it on my putter against the Max grip. I will give info when the grip comes available.

Just received mine in the post today, got one from a guy in the UK off ebay who had bought a couple from Garsen in the states.

Cant wait to blow the grip off my v line and put this bad boy on. its the g pro edge in blue.

I have the G Pro Edge in black. I've played 6 rounds with it, and have dropped my putts per round from 32 to 28. It's only been 6 rounds, but I really like what this grip has done with my putting. I've made more 8-10 footers in the past couple of weeks than I have in a long time. Distance control and the roll that I put on the ball has been wonderful. Great product that works as advertised!

I cannot be happier!

Yesterday I was at the practice green, it seemed a Scotty's demo day as I was the only one using a non SC putter. My putts ended in the hole or no more than one feet of it. A guy came to me saying "you are doing well, what are you using?" and I answered it's a Nike with a Garsen G-Pro Edge grip. He couldn't believe it, a Nike? then he saw his Newport like thinking, the last thing I'd do is to remove the original grip from this putter. Anyway, he'll miss the grip and sinking putts as well.

The only con I found is that the red edge grip gets dirty quite easy and no matter how well I tried to clean it, the spots are lighter but still there. The solution: I switched to black ones. The Max handles the dirt better no matter it's white.

Played 9 holes with it for the first time yesterday and was really impressed how the stroke felt. Especially on short putts. Got a match today so looking forward to getting it out in pressure conditions.

Think it will take some getting used to addressing the ball, as in walking into the putt and aiming with the right hand before getting into setup.

Has anyone noticed there grip feels more "together" on your other clubs after putting with it?
