Snake eyes 600b or 675mb irons - What an iron!

I was down in the basement today and found my old set of Snakes eyes 600b irons. I loved these irons, but decided to give them up because they didn't have legal grooves. That was the stupiest golf move I've ever made to date. I have not played in any sanctioned USGA tournaments that would require legal grooves, so why should I be worried right. I guess I wanted to play what the "pros" played as far as legal grooves were concerned. So I go outside with the 3 iron and hit 2 balls off into the sunset (I live on a mountain). I stroked the first ball dead flush and missed the 2nd a little, but it still had a nice flight. I'm going to put them back in the bag and pulled out my Mp69's. I wish I could find another set of these heads. Any help would be much appreciated!!!

I had a set of 600C/B combo irons that were very, very easy to play. They were extremely soft and responsive. I had too many other clubs at the time to keep them, but would still rate them among the best irons I've played.

I would put them against any forged head on the market! They are so good!!

I just picked up a set of them 5-gw and the heads are in near perfect shape!!! Not sure what to do with them

Hey thanks for the feedback I mean I love the looks of them and the feel but am I crazy to play these as my gamers??? I currently have a beauty set of X blade cb's that I was going to play but now I am considering the Eyes. However, I got them and the heads are mint but the club assembly is a botched job for sure, they are an inch and half longer than standard and the ferrules look terrrible, glue coming out, I am going to have to have a new set built if I am going to play them. Is it worth it or should I just keep them as a nice set to look at and hit on the range from time to time??

I still have a set of 600xc's in the back room. Great clubs. The only thing that bothered me is the oversized blade. If they had made the 600c's in lh, I'd prob. still be playing them today.

I miss Snake Eyes. I rolled an mcs1-L for 7 years, and still have a set of Wishon designed TC-01's around. I bought the last SE wedge design for old time's sake. Too bad they're gone.

I've got a set of 600b's and man they are a beautiful set of irons!
Pretty easy to hit as well.
Nice looking head at address too. Not too compact and just a little offset.
They have quite a high flight for me, and the feel is nice and soft.
If I'm looking to put some blades in the bag for a while these are high up on the list.
If anyone has a chance to pick up a set of these I would highly recommend them.

... Those were 600s not 675s. I really liked the 600c's but they were mine. The 675Bs were for my brother in law.

Played a set of 5 - GW SE 600 XC for over 10 years and thru 3 shaft changes. Now their in retirement, having moved on to a set of Ping i20's a couple of years back. Do I hit them better? Yes, at least that's what I keep telling myself. As mentioned here (or the 600b thread) if you removed the SE name and stamped on an OEM name, people would be exclaiming their virtues. They're that good. Those pics of the 675's are sweet, makes me want to go shopping for a set.

Still play the 675TM wedges (56* & 60*) with the old Rifle Spinner shafts. Yes, their non-conforming (I believe w/o checking) but that is non-issue for me. Have yet to find another wedge(s) that work better and I've tried a few. Just feel confident with them, their weight, etc. and thats more than half the battle with wedges.

Miss the old Golfsmith/SE days of the late 90's, early 2000's era. They made some nice stuff.

... I have a little over $400 invested in them not counting all my work. They are also spine aligned. I would like to get $299 plus shipping for them. The 3/4 have used DGS shafts soft stepped once in them and the 9 iron was hit twice by my brother in law. Everything else is new and never hit.
