I never thought I would see the day when I hit a Cobra driver, it is just that good. I still can't believe that I am hitting one LOL. So far it just goes straight and miles.

Hey, I read the comments about getting some '05 CB's. Did you like the MB's better? Now I see how you got your name. When it all started you WERE a TM golf guy. L4V changed that and a few others changed that! :)

I liked the '05 CB's, and I have actually owned 2 sets. I had them right before the MB's. The only reason I went to the MB's is I wanted some blades again lol. I just hope I can make myself keep them in the bag. I tend to HO out my clubs way to much lol.

Do they play the same? Are the MB's a little less forgiving on slightly off center hits? I also have two sets of '05 CB's but I also am getting the itch again. I'm selling my Titleist 755's/satin project X and was looking at a few other sets but I thought that maybe I can sell one of my sets and get some MB's. The ones I've hit have felt softer than the CB's.

 

BTW, that is a BAD A$%$ putter!

The MB's are a little less forgiving, but I think they are one of the most forgiving blades on the market with the little feel pockets they have. The heads are a little smaller than the CB's as well. I agree, the MB's do feel softer than the CB's.

Thanks. I have a Newport 2 style Byron, and it rolls the ball quite nicely. I prefer the C&L to it though.

 

Go for the L4V. This is my first Cobra driver ever. It is the only one that I haven't hooked the fire out of also. That Sumo 5900 that you swing isn't a bad stick though.

Yeah, the 5900 is nice with the VS Proto in it. I need to go jump on a LM again. I broke my cardinal rule and used the numbers I was getting with the range balls they were using at the demo day. They were brand new, but were still Top Flite range balls. I need to get some numbers with a couple different "real" golf balls. I'm concerned that my spin will be a bit too high with ProV1x or other good balls.

 

I really do like the 350 Milled. What'd that run you if you don't mind me asking? What do you like better about the C&L over the Byron? Or over anything else for that matter? I'm looking at putter options and am thinking about either one of the customs people talk about here or maybe one of the Cameron Studio Selects when those are available.

Thanks Brian. The pictures are a bit out of date. I can't seem to keep a 3 wood in the bag for more than a round at this point. I have 3 more on the way right now. The irons are out, and their replacements may be as well. Just got new wedges the other day as well. I need to do a totally new one pretty soon. I am just waiting to get a 3 wood and some irons I really like.

HA. This thing is way out of date. I still only have one TM club in the bag though. The bag is very close to being set for 2008. I just picked up another White Board to go in the L4V, and my new 3 wood is perfect. I have a Spider putter coming to give a shot at making the bag, which is odd for me because I am not one to change putters. I'll post pictures when everything is set.

I have been almost TM free for a while now. I was down to just a hybrid for a few months, and now it is all gone. I got rid of it to express my disgust in their recent iron offering. I don't think they have made a great club since the MB TP's. The r7 TP's were good, but not great.

The i10's are perfect in every way. Funny how we both replace our Srixon I302's with the same sticks.

 

The L4V left because I couldn't get over the sound. I knocked the crap out of it, but I went deaf every time I played.

 

I use a mess of different MC grips. I have red on the woods, pink on the irons, and light blue on the wedges. I would have gone with orange, but I got the pink ones so ridiculously cheap that I had to buy them. Plus, I like loud colors lol.

No, I was lucky enough to get it off of here from a member. I talked to my rep, and he tried for a few months to track one down in these colors and couldn't do it. I just got lucky and found it.
