best one i played with showed up for a high school match at our home course(also my home course)

which is private and was wearing red basketball shorts, our whole team couldnt stop laughing when he was on the first tee, where he hit it 20 yards. He did have some consistency though, on the third hole he hit a house 50 yards up and 40 yards right twice in a row, almost the same spot!

Thank god for our triple bogey max rule he shot +54 125(par 71) and didnt finish a single hole

I'm 21 now but a couple years back I was playing in a tournament with a kid that was just ridiculous. It was a tournament at a pretty tough, 7000 yard layout and he was talking about all the tournaments he had won and how good he was. This was just about the time when Nike started coming out with equipment. He was decked out head to toe in Nike, even wore pants like a pro. He had a 6.5 degree 975J, Titleist PT, Nike Blades, Newport 2. He topped his first tee shot hit the white tee markers about 30 yards in front of us and bounced into the parking lot some 50 yards behind our heads. Kid was just awful and he never waited for any of us to hit, walked in everyones lines, never got the pin, and was just an all around poor sport. I'll still remember him complaining about a bad day and birding the last hole to shoot a smooth 97.

I played with a kid who shot a 73 in a practice round at the course... he went today, had no etiquette, was dressed in a t-shirt and gym shorts (I'm surprised they even let him play) and then W/D after 15 because he was playing so bad. 73 my a**! I shot a 73 this morning and played a damn near flawless round on and around the greens. This guy had no short game, he cheated and among other things, he threw clubs (which I found hilarious personally... snapped his lob wedge in half off a tree right before W/Ding haha). Walked through my line, putted extra putts after he already holed out (try his putt again, sometimes even as I'm still trying to make my actual putt). The kid had ZERO etiquette. :)

So i was playing in a tournament, and i asked these girls if they did a practice round before the day of the tournament. One girl who was dressed like paula creamer ( pink from head to toe, including the same bag and driver cover as her) said she hit a 84 during the practice round. At the end of the tournament she hit a 108. hahahaaa.

all juniors, most arrogant players alive, they think they can beat the pants off of everyone, absolute joke, im 24 now and im 10 times better than i was when i was 14, 16, or 18, have some respect for people who have played longer, especially older guys who you think you can beat the pants off of, stop trying to prove how good you are to everybody, i see older guys who dont care about having this tiger woods esque swing, and dont hold the finnish for 10 seconds, and guess what their scores are lower than yours, juniors need to play the game like everyone else, stop thinking ur better than everyone else, and have some respect, now lets here all the replies of how you could probably woop my ***, what a joke

For a 24 year old your very stereotypical with your views.

You may be good at golf but your morals must have got lost up your a**.

24 years of age your temper tantrums should have being a thing of the past.

I played at a local course (Crystal Springs) where there are some nasty spots that you can get into. I played with a junior that had only been playing for a few weeks and he ended up shooting 213, yes 213....ya thats 141 over par. He didnt want to quit but that couldnt have done much for his confidence

This fourm is about a-holes, not people with dissabilities

i have had some bad experiances with jerkoffs in my group, and sometimes (but rarely) they are like the best player in the state

but the worst feeling is when some half retarded looking kid who seems like he couldn't tie his own shoes shoots 68 and beats you by like 7 shots then walks off the course looking like someone pissed in his cherios

i was playing in a tournament and everyone switched scorecards at the start of the round and the kids score i was keeping managed to hack a 96 and at the end of the round i look at the scoreboard beside his name and it says he shot a 73, so to make a long story short he ended up beating me by 1 stroke and finishing in 4 place

Their has got to be someone who recognizes this story.

I'm from central CA. and last year I played in division 6 sub-sections at Rio Vista Trilogy course. Anyways, a kid who honestly qualified individually from his league shot a 223 with a 38 on one hole. (there was a 160 carry off the tee) Really I don't think he played all that bad for himself just a bad hole. ;)

I hope he isn't a member on WRX.

I don't really have a problem playing with higher handicappers as long as they have some sort of etiquette.

I was playing in a club tournament a few weekends ago and there were only about 4 people playing ( :good: ). We all played in 1 group, our handicaps were something like 2, 18, 29, 32. So I'm thinking as long as I don't extremely screw up, I'll come in first.

After 9 holes, I shot 41, the 18 handicap shot 49, the other two shot in the 60's/70's. On holes 9, 10, 11 I went bogey, double bogey, bogey ( ;) ), so +8 after 11 holes while the 18 handicap was +14 after 11 holes.

The 18 started to tell me "You know this is actually getting pretty close now" "I could still win" "Don't screw up here" and then I hit it into the trees on 13, had to pitch out backwards right handed and made another double bogey. He said "Wow you sort of screwed up there eh?" Soo now I'm +10 through 13 and he's +14 through 13.

I went birdie par birdie par par to end up getting him by 17 shots. Ouch. Very awkward

Back in high school a huy tried out for the team and I was paired w/ him on the first two days of try-outs and on the firss day he shot 127 on 9!!!! it took 4 1/2 hours. So the next day he shows up wearing football cleats hopeing he would get better traction compared to the basketball shoes he was wearing the day before. He and I were paired togther again and he shot 154 on 9 holes, this round took 5 hours and 15 min to complete.

It was the first time the guy ever hit a golf ball...........

We have this goon on our team.

He cheats, because he thinks making varsity golf will make him look cool.

He has no clue how to swing a golf club. He tries to kill it every time, and his spine angle is so off its not even funny to watch, its annoying. Then after he pulls his head, he tops it (to the point where it stays on the tee box) and then somehow comes up with this follow through that involves swinging the club back and pointing it at the target, even though the ball has already hit the ground.

It's painful to watch, he dresses like a total ***** wannabe thug some days too, I don't know why this kid pisses me off so much, or why this would be my business, because its not, but I honestly believe he was never meant to be on a golf course. He is at his best 20 miles away or more from any tee, fairway, or green.

The kid hits a ball through a tree, small miracle, it comes back to just in front of the tee box after hitting another tree. He asks (I guess jokingly, he sounded dead serious to me) if we could just pretend it never happened. I said that if he was gonna play one of 6 spots on the team I wanted him to hit the ball, and he jumped down my throat.

Hypocrate. He hits one in a hazard and I am thinking out loud about his options. He says "I know the rule, everybody should" so I shut up and we moved on. Then hes in a bunker and I look over to see him taking practice swings in the bunker, sand flyin everywhere. I was going to count the strokes for him, but I figured I just play my own game cause hes too far gone to be helped.

He quit a few weeks later. He said he quit because people cheated. The only cheater in sight his him.

This is how much I will come to despise you if you act like this guy. Either you pay your dues, respect the game, or accept the consequences. Golf is cool like this. If you don't work at this game, don't act surprised when you fail miserably at everything. If you don't work as hard as I do, don't expect to shoot as low as I do. I don't want excuses. We all have bad days and good days, but if you do really work hard at the game of golf you will come to understand that its part of the game and that you have to deal with it, because it happens to all of us. Don't be a ***** about it.
