On a more serious note, I have played 72 holes many times walking, and the biggest problem is always the feet. Bring extra socks and shoes and you will be fine. The rest of my body is always fine, just the feet get sore. One more tip would be minimise your practice swings that will keep you fresher longer.

The last time i played that many holes I was 50 or 51, so you should have no trouble at all being only 28.

OP bring some form of energy booster for the end of the day. I usually bring a caffeine pill or test booster when i plan on playing all day. sometimes i need it, sometimes I don't. And as everyone else said, extra clothes, socks, shoes ( maybe), gloves, balls, bug spray, towels, wipes, food, and tons of water

Played in a charity event last year. 101 holes in a day. It took us 15 hours (played in a pair). The beer at the end tasted delicious.

Shoes are the key. I wore an old pair of Ecco Biom Hybrids.

I am currently playing a 27 hole tournament that is about on a 16 hour pace. Waiting on every tee box 20 minutes. 6 hours thru 19 hours.

That link is to the wrap up. I had a great day. We played 73 holes, due to the fact that one of our group was 73 years old. We also played with a woman. Playing on 3 different sets of tees with a couple of deliberate partners did not make for a very quick day. I have to say though, that my cart partner was a blast. He was a 40 year old lieutenant at a local Fire Dept. We laughed, joked, smoked cigars, and generally had a great time. I have to say the highlight of my day was my last 18 where i had 5 birdies. I played the first 54 holes with only one birdie, so it was a nice end to the day. Here are a couple of shots of me from the day. There are more in the article i posted above.

That is fantastic...congrats! So, you received a lot of advice pre-event...what worked...what did you learn from the day? And 5 birdies is awesome!

I didn't end up needing any sunscreen, athletic tape, or band-aids luckily. 3 or 4 pairs of socks is a must. And a whole 2nd outfit as well. Rain gear helped, as you never know what the weather is going to do. Make sure you have an extra glove as well as rain gloves. I only lost 3 balls the whole day, but I ended up finding 2 later on. I changed shoes half way thru the day because my old ones were wet. The course provided all the food and drinks to us. In total I ate: a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, trail mix, a turkey wrap, a side salad and 2 cookies. I also drank 8 bottles of water and 6 bottles of Gatorade g2 (fruit punch flavor). I probably didn't eat enough for my size and weight, so I was starving the next morning. But I kept myself hydrated and stayed in the shade of the cart a lot. All told, it was not that difficult, and I was not sore the next day. My legs were tired and I was tired overall, but that is because I woke up and went to work the next day, when I think a lot of people would have probably opted to sleep in and maybe go in to work late.
